EMERGENCY FIRST AID & CPR/AEDCommissionaires Nova Scotia (CNS) offers a one day course that provides basic emergency first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) skills for the workplace or home.

Participants learn the latest first aid and CPR guidelines which meet OHS regulations for Basic First Aid. The course includes injury prevention content, CPR and AED taught by certified instructors. CNS offers this course at a variety of locations across the province for both individual and group registrations. We can even deliver training at your work site!

Certification: 3-year certification in Emergency First Aid, CPR/AED Level A and C

Duration: 6.5-8 hours, with flexible scheduling options for group bookings

Recertification: 4-6 hours; includes CPR/AED Level A and C

Cost*: $75 +tax (full course) or $65 +tax (refresher course)

*Methods of payment include credit card, cash and cheque

Completion Requirements: 100% attendance, acceptable skills demonstration, and 75% minimum passing grade on written exam

Standard First Aid & CPRComprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work require-ments or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. Exceeds competitors’ standards by including injury prevention content, CPR and AED.
