LAST GAME: BLACKHAWKS 5, Islanders 4 (SO) - Dec. 2, 2011 - United Center The Blackhawks and Islanders both led at two different times during regulation, but the home team prevailed 5-4 in a shootout onFriday night in Chicago. ANDREW BRUNETTE, BEN SMITH, JONATHAN TOEWS (SHG) and PATRICK SHARP (PPG) recorded goals, and TOEWS wasthe only shooter for either team to convert on a shootout attempt. The 2011 All-Star Game MVP is tied for the team lead with a +10 plus/minus rating. SHARP registered a team-high five shots on goal against New York. He leads the Western Conference and ranks third in the NHL witha team-high 97 shots on goal this year.

 BRUNO ANDREW BRUNETTE opened the scoring for Chicago on Friday at the United Center with his sixth goal of the season. Of BRUNETTE'S six markers this season, five have been the first goal of the game for the Blackhawks. Chicago is 5-0-0 in thosecontests. The 38-year old winger leads the team and shares ninth in the NHL with four power-play goals this year. He paced Minnesota witheight PPG last season. BRUNETTE has missed just two regular-season games since the start of the 2002-03 campaign. The Sudbury, Ontario, native has topped 15 goals and 45 points in 11 consecutive seasons entering this year.

 BOSS HOSS MARIAN HOSSA tallied his 15th assist of the season on Tuesday at the United Center against Phoenix. HOSSA shares second on the team with 24 points, ranks second with 15 assists, and ranks third with nine goals in 25 games thisyear. The Slovakian winger is tied for the club lead with a +10 plus/minus rating. He has compiled a +43 rating in 147 regular-season gamessince joining the Blackhawks. HOSSA ranks tenth in the NHL with 88 shots on goal this season. After registering three takeaways against the Islanders last night, the 32-year old forward shares fourth in the NHL with 30 takeawaysthis year.
