FLOODS 5. November 2012

• On the 5 November river Drava started raising due to necessity of lifting the flood gates of the hydro electric power plant.

• All together 2.400 houses were affected/flooded. Extremely high quantities of rain also triggered around 526 landslides and mudslides. Numerous roads and other infrastructure facilities/structures were damaged. No killed or injured persons.

• Damage assessment 310. 000.000,00 € • 000,00in process. • Slovenia ask for help from European

solidarity found.

• The Republic of Slovenia has had detailed assessment procedures in place on the national, regional and municipal level since 2004. The Decree on the damage evaluation methodology specifies a number of formulas; moreover, rates prices list are published annually on the ACPDR website.
