3. Don’t Invite EveroneBe clear if husbands/wives or clients aren’t invited - if the budget won’t stretch, it’s best that everyone knows in advance.

5. Create A Party Atmosphere

We can’t believe how manymagazines at this time of year run articles advising people ‘make sure to stay sober at the office Christmas party’ or ‘don’t dress in anythingtoo revealing or comfortable’.

We think those writers need to look up the word ‘party’ in the dictionary! Just because you putthe word ‘offce’ in front of itdoesn’t change its meaning.

6. EncourageEnthusiasm

It’s a sad fact that we don’t all love the people we work with. But if you’re the organiser, do what you can to make sure people can have fun and let their hair down.

The best way to do this is to set the tone yourself - be excited, and the enthusiasm will spread.

7. Provide Food And DrinksIt’s important to provide both food and drink. Not everyone drinks alcohol, and these guests won’t appreciate a boring bar crawl with drunks.
