Meeting PMI requirementsThe course provides the 35 contact hours of project manage-ment education required for the application. SGO Business School is a Registered Education Provider (REP) with PMI.

Customized Preparatory TrainingAs a Certified Project Management Professional PMP®, you hold a title that certifies your competence in project manage-ment and that is recognised on a worldwide scale.

To prepare you for the PMP Exam, we offer a blended learning course. It consists of a kick-off session of a day and a half in our new premises in Glattbrugg. This will be followed by six webinars in a more or less weekly rhythm. Each webinar will be directed live by an experienced trainer and accompanied by a qualified assistant supporting the participants with techni-cal, methodological or content-related questions. The final day consists of another classroom session to wrap up the course contents and exam training.

All modules provide practical relevance. Depending on your previous practical and theoretical knowledge, you will be able to trim your preparation time to fit your personal schedule.

PMP RequirementsAll project management experience must have been accrued within the last eight consecutive years prior to the application submission. Depending on your educational background, you must have:

■ High school diploma or global equivalent ■ Five years of project management experience with 7,500

hours leading and directing project tasks ■ 35 contact hours of formal project management

education (covered by our course)OR

■ Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent ■ Three years of project management experience, with ■ 4,500 hours leading and directing project tasks ■ 35 contact hours of formal project management

education

PMP ExaminationTo obtain a credential as a PMP, individuals must pass an exa-mination consisting of multiple choice questions based on the PMBOK.PMI requests candidates to schedule individually the place and date of their exam with its accredited test provider, Prometric.

■ The computer-based exam lasts 4 hours and consists of 200 multiple-choice questions

■ The PMP examination has to be taken in English, aids in other languages are available

■ The closest accredited Prometric Testing Centers are in Geneva, Munich and Milan

PMP examination fees:Members US$ 405, Non-members US$ 555

Initial validity as per PMI’s regulations:3 years
