Project Overview:• Construction of a stacked, imbricated rock wall along the toe of the slope and a bench along the top
of the wall • Installation of live stakes• Planting that includes native riparian vegetation• Installation of soil lifts for upper bank stabilization

Description:The Pohick Creek Restoration Project – Phase I, provided earthworks and bank stabilization along Area 1, located on the left bank of Pohick Creek adjacent to the Noman M. Cole, Jr. Pollution Control Plant. This project provided a stream diversion with the use of temporary sandbags adjacent to the creek. Additional requirements included the removal, stockpile, and replacement of the existing Class III rip rap. This project was substantially completed on June 13, 2016.
