h o r o s c o p eBy Jacqueline Bigar

Happy birthday for Tuesday, April 26, 2016: This year you will be able to solidify a key re-lationship and/or situation. You have thought about this type of commitment for a while. Use care when meeting new people in general. Your innate ability to sense the good in people might prevent you from seeing trouble when it appears. If you are single, get to know the per-son in question well before you even consider a commitment. Recognize if the other party is distorting who he or she really is. Know that he or she wants to impress you. You could meet someone before fall. If you are attached, the two of you love your one-on-one time together, even if you don’t talk but simply share space. The connection between the two of you is pow-erful. CAPRICORN understands you perfectly.

The Stars Show the Kind of Day You’ll Have: 5-Dynamic; 4-Positive; 3-Average; 2-So-so; 1-Difficult.

Capricorn - (Dec 22 - Jan 19)

*** Know that you are about to turn the cor-ner and feel much better. You could have been tired, or perhaps you could have been in a funk. In any case, an unanticipated event energizes you. Show your affection to a child or room-mate. Tonight: Go along with another person’s plans.

Aquarius - (Jan 20 - Feb 18)

**** A conversation you have could take some odd turns, such as the other party discon-necting out of the blue if you’re on the phone. Count on an odd response no matter what me-dium you use. You could be jolted. Remember, above all you consider this person a friend. Ride with the moment. Tonight: Catch up on another person’s day.

Pisces - (Feb 19 - Mar 20)

*** Take care of a personal matter, which could involve your feelings and/or a gift. You might feel better by making a caring gesture

to the other party. Thaw the ice; you will feel much better. Understanding goes a long way. Touch base with a child or young person. To-night: Indulge a loved one.

Aries - (Mar 21 - Apr 19)

**** Reach out for others and be willing to do a reversal or change course if it feels more expedient. Express your caring by devoting time to a loved one at a distance. At times, you worry about this person. Recognize your innate limits as well as this person’s free will. Tonight: To the wee hours.

Taurus - (Apr 20 - May 20)

**** A loved one or a key associate can be, and frequently is, very diffi cult and demanding. This person attempts to warm up the waters between you in order to have a closer or more reciprocal bond. Don’t stand on ceremony; be willing to take steps forward. Tonight: Eye the big picture through a change of scenery.

Gemini - (May 21 - June 20)

**** You could be at a point where you want to make an impression on someone, yet this person seems impervious. What he or she seems to be and what he or she notices might be two different stories. A meeting proves to be positive. You could be delighted and surprised by the support you receive. Tonight: All smiles.

Cancer - (June 21 - July 22)

*** Dive into a project and clear out some er-rands - just make sure you don’t sit on your duff right now. The more you get done, the more free time you will have. You will have extra hours, if not a whole day, for frivolous fun. Everyone needs a break. Tonight: Have a long-overdue chat with a roommate or family member.

Leo - (July 23 - Aug 22)

**** You might hear news from a distance that gives you an a-ha moment, allowing you

to head in a more appropriate or fortunate di-rection. Your ability to read between the lines helps you make a decision about which way to go. Tonight: Play it easy.

Virgo - (Aug 23 - Sept 22):

**** A partner could do a reversal or some-thing so out of his or her norm that you have to stop and think. Understand your limits within your immediate situation. A financial matter and decision might be necessary; however, be as friendly as possible. Tonight: Follow in the footsteps of a mischievous friend.

Libra - (Sept 23 - Oct 22)

***** You might need to defer to another person and get down to what is basic and nec-essary. You might be well advised to expect a certain reaction to your words, but on the con-trary, you receive a bit of a jolt. You cannot put this person in a box. He or she is too eccentric on a deep level. Tonight: Make a special effort

toward a loved one.

Scorpio - (Oct 23 - Nov 21)

**** You might feel as if you cannot get a fi nancial matter loosened up. Pull back and consider a solution that might seem off the wall. Let others know what you are about to do, but express appreciation for their efforts and ideas. Tonight: To the gym! Or take a walk.

Sagittarius - (Nov 22 - Dec 21)

**** You might want to approach a matter differently than you originally planned to, es-pecially after a wild brainstorming session with a close friend. You see options that were not clear up until now. A child or young person lets you know how much he or she appreciates you. Tonight: Pay bills.

ber of mirror tiles will depend on the area of the wall you wanted to cover. Add adhesive tabs to each cor-ner of the mirror. Be very careful to mark the top and side measurements on the wall. Starting at the top left corner, remove the adhesive strip and stick the mirrors on the wall. Place decorative pins at the inter-secting seams.

Lady’s Mantle (Alchemilla mollis) is an herbaceous pe-rennial plant native to southern Europe, fast-growing pe-rennial, and a member of the rose family. In late spring, pillows of star-shaped yellowish-green flowers bloom amid soft, silvery-green foliage. Every part of the plant is covered with fine hairs that hold onto dew drops and sparkle in the sun.

Site: Shade to full sun; medium humidity.Temperature: 41 to 54°F.Water: Regular watering is required.

Everything from your emotions and eating habits to the bacteria that call your gut home can balloon your waist-line.

Workout: During and following your workout, gas passes more easily through the digestive system, let the gas out, and you’ll kick the bloating, too.

Eat pineapple: The secret ingredient is a digestive enzyme called bromelain that is only found in pineap-ples.

Stress: When you’re anxious, your body releases cortisol and adrenaline, hormones that stimulate your digestive system, and cause gas and bloating.

Ingredients: 2 tsp curry powder; 1 tsp chilli powder; 6 cloves garlic - crushed; 2 inches grated ginger; 1lb minced lamb; 1 small onion finely chopped; filo pastry; 1 egg beaten; vegetable oil; little ghee or butter; fresh green chillies sliced (optional).

Method: Fry the onions until translucent. Stir in curry and chilli powder, garlic and ginger and stir fry for 2 min-utes, add the mince and fry until cooked through. Leave the mince to cool. Cut the pastry into 3 inch wide strips. Fold one end over in a diagonal to create a triangle then fold again the other way to compete a square. Fold the pastry back taking a spoonful tbsp of the cooked mince in the second triangle mark. Now fold again and keep re-peating the triangular folding until the pastry is all used. Deep fry 2 at a time until golden.

It’s best to meet crush on woman’s ‘familiar ground’

By Abigail Van Buren

Dear Abby: For the last five months I have been talk-ing to a guy I met via a dating app. We live a few states apart and have yet to meet in person, but we communicate regularly.

With my tax refund this year, I’d like to do something for me. He suggested that I visit him. I don’t get any red flags from him, and I’m sure I’d be 100 percent safe while I’m there. However, I’m anxious about taking a trip by myself to visit a guy I’ve developed a massive crush on.

I have thought about offering to pay his way here instead, or simply not going at all. I asked my friends and family for their opinions. Some of them think I should go, while oth-ers say I should pay his way here. I need advice from an outsider’s per-spective.

— Confused and crushingDear C&C: I vote for having

your friend come and visit you the first time you meet. That way your

family and friends can meet him, and if your massive crush doesn’t live up to your expectations, you won’t be alone in a strange city and at a disadvantage.

❑ ❑ ❑

Dear Abby: I live in a house with my husband, his 11-year-old son and my husband’s father. I am pregnant with my first child and I get cravings for chocolate. I some-times hide my special chocolates in my armoire so I don’t have to worry about my sugar-crazed son getting to them.

However, I have recently found out that he goes through my things to find the goodies and helps himself. I feel he has stepped over the line and violated my pri-vacy. My husband and I have confronted him about it more than once, and each time he lies and argues before he eventually admits it.

We have talked to him about privacy and make sure to give him his privacy in his room. How can we turn his behavior around and make him see that he is being disrespectful toward me?

— Pregnant chocolate loverDear chocolate lover: There should be conse-

quences for misbehavior, and they should be ex-plained to the boy. He should also understand there will be more severe consequences for lying to cover it up. Because you know the boy cannot be trusted, put a lock on the closet or cupboard where you stow your stash, or on your bedroom door.

❑ ❑ ❑

Dear Abby: My husband and I have been happily mar-ried for 38 years. Almost everything is great, except that the wife of his best friend, “Ted”, has the hots for my husband. We all get along well, but it’s obvious her inter-est is mostly in my husband, not me.

Ted has no idea his wife feels this way, but several people have pointed it out, and I have observed the way she acts. I have talked to my husband about it. He in no way is interested in her.

I would never want to jeopardize my husband’s friend-ship with Ted, and I enjoy being friends with them both, but I’m uncomfortable about her feelings for my hus-band. Can I say something to her and let her know how I feel without ruining the friendship with her or the one my husband has with Ted?

— Situation in Austin, TexasDear situation: Probably not. While it wouldn’t

change the relationship your husband has with Ted, if you address this with his wife and tell her you know she has been lusting after your husband, it’s sure to cause embarrassment. And that’s not conducive to a close friendship.
