INSURANCE ACT (CHAPTER 347)
INSURANCE (REGISTRATION OF INSURANCE INTERMEDIARIES) (SALESPERSONS) NOTICE, 2011
WHEREAS by section 229 of the Insurance Act, Ch. 347 ("the Act"), it is
provided that the Insurance Commission ("the Commission") shall cause notice of the
registration of persons as insurance intermediaries to be published in the Official Gazette;
AND WHEREAS the Commission has registered persons to carry on insurance
business in The Bahamas as insurance intermediaries, namely insurance salespersons, in
the categories of long term ("life") insurance business, general ("other than life")
insurance business and both long tenn/life and generaVother than life insurance business;
AND WHEREAS the Commission has exercised this power during the period of
I September, 2010 to 31 December, 2010:
NOW THEREFORE in exercise of the powers conferred by section 229 of the
Act, the Commission gives the following Notice-
1. Citation.
This Notice may be cited as the Insurance (Registration of Insurance
Intermediaries) (Salespersons) Notice, 2011.
