Day 1: Northwest Vietnam Motorbike Tour from Hanoi to Thac Ba

Today's destination is Thac Ba Lake – one of the three largest artificial lakes in Vietnam. Being dubbed as

“Halong Bay on Mountain”, there are 1331 forested islands emerging on the calmly blue and clear water

surface of the lake, the system of amazing caves hidden deep in the limestone mountains. It is that mysterious

beauty gives Thac Ba a sparkling yet charming look. There are 2 options for you to choose from. If you want

to experience a more challenging ride, an off-road route is the best choice. In contrast, back-road or on-road

is a better way to ensure your safety. However, they both lead you to the lake at about 4:30 p.m. With a short

time left, take a cruise on Thac Ba Lake to feel for the elegance of nature and laid-back. Have a taste of local

dishes and spend the night at a homestay of a Yao family.

Day 2: Northwest Vietnam Motorbike Tour from Thac Ba to Xin Man

town of Quang Binh for lunch. We then tackle old winding single track through the old jungle that’ll surely

Leaving Sa Pa, make our way to Than Uyen, a large valley endowed with an interlaced river system, endless

terraced fields that create various colors for pouring water season. Next, conquer O Quy Ho Pass with cloud-

hugged mountains and fog on valleys. Followed the challenging pass is Mu Cang Chai. The land appears with

rice terraces, which may be considered being the most breathtaking scenery in Northern Vietnam. Gasp-

worthy views and abundant photo ops.

The final spot is Nghia Lo which is famous for Bauhinia variegata, iridescent sticky rice, brocade and

especially the gentle Thai dance performances. Muong Lo Cultural Market and the service trade network have

made Nghia Lo grow up as a socio-economic center of Western Yen Bai provinces. Despite the long road,
