My uncle is a winner

I want to tell you about the person who really inspires me in all sorts of things. This is my lovely uncle.

He is a great athlete who achieved much in sport and he is an idol for me not only in sport but in many respects.

Oleg Gumenchuk was born in Saransk. He loved sport from his childhood giving preference to athletics and running. He was also a very smart and well-organized boy. His achievements at school were sufficiently positive.

The motto of his life was : strength, speed and patience. It reflected in many ways. Oleg received a great number of various awards during all competitions. Many of them were for the first places. He participated in the international competition in running «Saransk-Helsinki» where he represented our country.

I'm proud that his name is well-known in Mordovia not only because of sport. He is a chief of economic management and a very important person in the Government of the Republic of Mordovia.

Also this kind of sport helped him not only to get a prestigious career, but to meet his love. Irina and Oleg went in for athletics together. Now they 've been married for 25 years and have three beautiful children.

I confidently and proudly can say that uncle Oleg is my real idol and a good example for me in every sense. In my opinion it` s not important how much you glorify sport in the region or in Russia , the main thing is to be a champion for your family. My uncle has his favorite work , his own big house and of course a happy and friendly family. It` s a real victory of all his life, I suppose.
