The annual Gala Concert of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel will take place on 23 March 2018. It will be the opportunity to present officially a new “Guest Master in Residence”, the French mezzo-soprano Sophie Koch who, since the 2016-17 season, has accompanied the work of the young singers with José van Dam and his team. During the gala, Sophie Koch will perform, with some of the young singers, Rossini’s magnificent Stabat Mater after a first part devoted to some of Mozart’s arias. Sophie Koch and the soloists in residence will be accompanied by Le Concert d’Anvers and the Octopus Symphony Chorus under the direction of Bart Van Reyn.
A beautiful evening to look forward to, devoted to the classical vocal repertoire.
