R&D and test platform for solar energy- Green Energy Park -
- The PV outdoor test platforms are designed, combining a multitude of test-set-ups, in order to investigate and characterize PV modules in harsh weather conditions and to get valuable data about their performances in situ.
The results that will be obtained in this platform will help: to implement a new adapted certification process for the outdoor measurement and characterization, to assess PV technologies and to develop new adapted technologies.
PV Test set ups
Test-Set-Up 7: PV System comparison of different inverters (exchange of inverters) for
consistent module technology or comparison of different module technologies for consistent
inverters
Test-Set-Up 4: Meteorological Sensor System the climatic and location-specific conditions are to be
investigated in relation to the yield behavior
Test-Set-Up 3: Module Performance Measurements
detailed data collection on yield and behavior of photovoltaic modules under real ambient conditions
Test-Set-Up 2: Module and Components Outdoor Exposure special material ageing tests on modules and specimen to
provide an essential basis for the reliability and service life analyses of photovoltaic modules in the region
Test-Set-Up 1: Solar-Tracking-System– changing of module orientation angles, for a faster
module characterization (to get a multifarious data set)
Test-Set-Up 5: Outdoor PID- Evaluation an electric potential between the cells and the module frame
results in an electric field that leads to a charge accumulation at the emitter and can short-circuit cells.
different types of modules are to be tested for this type of degradation
Test-Set-Up 6: Module Performance Comparison of Different Technologies to be able to better assess the yield behavior of different
module technologies in steppe-like and desert regions
Development of desert modules
