• MTR, or Mass Transit Railway, is the rapid transit railway system in Hong
Kong.
• The railway network consists of nine urban lines, one Airport Express line
which connects the Airport and downtown.
• one light rail system with 12 routes serving the northwest New Territories,
and one tourist cable car system Ngong Ping 360.
• In addition, it includes MTR feeder bus service, intercity passenger transfer.
There are 84 railway stations and 68 light rail stops.
• The MTR system is a common mode of public transport in Hong Kong,
with over 4 million trips made in an average weekday.

It is the world's first metro line designed to service a Disney theme park and also the world's first driverless heavy transit line. The line was finished in April of 2005 and put into operation on 1 August 2005 in preparation for the opening of Hong Kong Disneyland theme park.

Light rail is a very important transport means in the northwest of New Territories, Hong Kong. The system now covers 68 stops. There are 12 light rail routes. Which are operated by the Mass Transit Railway Corporation (MTR).

MTR Feeder Bus
MTRC provides feeder bus services for the convenience of passengers
using MTR rail networks. The routes provide access to and between
many MTR stations for thousands of passengers everyday. The MTRC's
integrated fare system also allows East Rail Line, West Rail Line and
Light Rail passengers who use Octopus cards to enjoy the free feeder
bus services that link many housing estates to East Rail Line, West
Rail Line stations and Light Rail stops.
The Corporation operates a total of 13 routes, including West Rail Line and Light Rail feeder bus
services, as well as an additional 4 East Rail Line
HONG KONG MTR NGONG PING 360
The Ngong Ping 360 is a tourism project on Lantau Island in Hong Kong.
The project was previously known as Tung Chung Cable Car Project
before acquiring the Ngong Ping 360 brand in April 2005. It consists of
the Ngong Ping Cable Car, a gondola lift formerly known as the Ngong
Ping 360 Skyrail, and the Ngong Ping Village, a retail and entertainment
centre adjacent to the cable car's upper station.
Ngong Ping 360 is owned by the MTR Corporation, the operator of Hong Kong's rail system. It was built
by Leitner Ropeways and was originally operated by Skyrail-ITM. Skyrail-ITM was removed from the
project after an investigation following an incident in June 2007. It is now operated by a directly owned
subsidiary of the MTR Corporation.

o Single Journey Ticket
Apart from Octopus Card, passengers can use Single Journey Tickets to take the MTR. The fare is based on the
distance traveled. There are two types of Single Journey Tickets – Adult and Concessionary, which you can purchase
from the Ticket Issuing Machines in all MTR stations. Concessionary Tickets are for children aged 3 to 11 and senior
citizens aged 65 or above. Students aged 12 and above traveling with Single Journey Tickets are required to pay full
adult fare. To enjoy concessionary fares, students must travel by Personalised Octopus Card with "Student Status".
