Summary of Experience: Progressed from a patrol officer to executive leadership position within a major metropolitan police department; managed up to 150 police officers under direct supervision from patrol officer to sergeant ranks, acted as the Deputy Chief in her absence, and served as watch commander in diverse settings throughout the agency.

Current assignment: DETENTION SERVICES DIVISION, serving as one of three executive-level administrators at the Dallas County Jail responsible for supervision and approval of all arrest reports generated by 3,000+ officers within the police agency.

persons, murders, suicides, police-involved shootings, and SWAT call-outs; Innovated the “Every Day is a Training Day” program that was adopted department-wide to

reduce officer injuries and increase officer safety focus; Achieved a 20% reduction in crime in area of jurisdiction; Pioneered the use of Critical Incident Response Teams (CIRT) and developed guidelines for

deployment of CIRT training and equipment department-wide; Developed and implemented the first NIMS-compliant plan for management of the city-hosted

Texas State Fair, a 1M+ attendee yearly venue with outstanding results in crime prevention and overall safety for citizens and assigned personnel;

Secured $100,000 private foundation grant for departmental equipment purchase of entry tools, thermal imaging cameras, and specialized first aid kits;

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE

1999 – Present FIREFIGHTER/EMT/FIRST RESPONDER

Summary of Experience: 25+ years as a volunteer firefighter, EMT and first responder in multiple small-town fire departments, including Argyle VFD, Palmer VFD, Murphy VFD and Parker FD; specialized experience in Incident Command, Fire Suppression, Driver/Pump Operator, HazMat Incidents, Search and Rescue, Emergency Medical Response, High and Low Angle Rescue and Swift Water Rescue. Wrote a successful grant for a $150,000 Pumper/ tanker (3,000 gallon) for the Palmer F.D., and a successful grant for $133,000 for the Murphy F.D. for physical exams at the renowned Cooper Clinic. Delivery of one (1) baby in a van after the van was stopped for speeding by the police department!
