LED-Airport LiGHtinGLED RunwAy GuARD LiGHT 921 – HiGH inTEnSiTy

Runway guard light systems (wiG-wAG) are used where intersections between Runway / Taxiway must be clearly marked. A system consists of two elevated fittings, uni directional, yellow light. The light is flashing with app. 45 flashes per minute. The RGL unit can be supplied with an additional omnidirectional light in white, also with LED, as position marker.

FEAturEs

GeneralRunway guard light system type 921-LED, is designed in accordance with iCAO, Annex 14, Vol. 1, 5.3.20 for use in configuration A as elevated marking of Runway / Taxiway intersections. Maximum intensity according to iSO candela diagram fig. 2.24 with less than 29 w. Light weight construction with no heavy parts, above ground level.

DEsCription

Light FittingThe fittings are constructed mainly by using standard components from HELLA induperm‘s standard program of elevated fittings. Each fitting has two light systems. Each light system is unidirectional, yellow light. Each light system can be individual adjusted for toe-in and elevation. The fitting has a breakable coupling, designed for 2˝ (60 mm) stake mounting (Type C) or with 2˝ thread stub (Type A). The light fixture is designed for an expected life-time for the LED‘s of 50,000 hours.

HELLA induperm elevated light fixtures can be delivered with various types of breakable couplings:

➔ type A: with 2˝ thread (European standard thread or 11,5 nPT or nPS)

➔ type C: For 2˝ pole mounting ➔ Customer designed couplings

HELLA induperm breakable coupling is calculated and tested to break at: 64 Kgm ± 4 Kgm which is in according FAA AC 150 / 5345-46B, sect 3.4.2.1.
