Labradoodle – The Perfect Family Pet

Irrespective of the type of the family, Labradoodle can be considered as the best

pet. It is smart, active, works for people with allergies and above all, it sheds less. It

can be your best companion for a long time.

Labradoodle puppies are developed by proper cross breeding of a Poodle and a

Labrador Retriever. Breeding of a Labradoodle puppy is more than just the

breeding of a Retriever and a Poodle. Here breeders properly plan the breeding

process. Both the animals for breeding are identified based on their physical

characteristics, temperament and health. In order to maintain proper health, other

dogs and even other breeds are also included in the breeding stock.

Labradoodle has a clown like appearance and a charming personality. They have a

thick coat which may vary sometimes. It may have coat like the Labrador or just like

a Poodle. Smooth long or short coat may resemble Labrador while wooly coat may

indicate Poodle parentage. Labradoodles are considered as very friendly and

intelligent. They give out that clown like appearance to connect with people. They

even look at you by tilting their head.

Labradoodle breeders sell puppies ranging in three sizes namely – miniature,

medium and standard. The size of the puppies depends on the size of the Poodle

included in the breeding process. The size of the adult dog can only be predicted

while it is not possible to say about the size of the puppies.

Miniature Labradoodle may weigh about 25 to 45 pounds and may grow in height

upto 14 to 17 inches. Medium Labradoodle may weigh about 40 to 55 pounds and

may grow in height upto 18 to 21 inches in height. A standard Labradoodle may

weigh about 45 to 74 pounds and may grow in height upto 23 to 26 inches. Here

females are lighter than males.

When it comes to Labradoodles, they are fun and very charming. Above all, their

temperament makes them the ideal pet for the family. They are very much devoted

to their owners and are loving too. Thus, it is easy to train them as they are very

intelligent.
