E-Learning Module on Vitamin DThe alarming increase in vitamin Dinsufficiency in the United States hasironically coincided with an increasingrecognition that vitamin D likely has abroader contribution to the protection ofhealth and prevention of disease thanpreviously appreciated. This interactiveself-study session will put into perspec-tive the rapid decline in vitamin D statusin the United States; the implicationsof vitamin D insufficiency on skeletal,inflammatory, and metabolic healthamong the population; and practicalguidelines for how to get vitamin D fromdiet, sun exposure, and supplements.Eligible for 1.5 hours of level 2 CPE credit.Available for download atwww.eatright.org/cpd/online.
