E-Learning Module on Vitamin D

The alarming increase in vitamin D in-sufficiency in the United States hasironically coincided with an increasingrecognition that vitamin D likely has abroader contribution to the protectionof health and prevention of diseasethan previously appreciated. This inter-active self-study session will put intoperspective the rapid decline in vitaminD status in the United States; the impli-cations of vitamin D insufficiency onskeletal, inflammatory, and metabolichealth among the population; andpractical guidelines for how to get vita-minD fromdiet, sun exposure, and sup-plements. Eligible for 1.5 hours of level2 CPE credit. Available for download at
