Documents Required for Post Parcel Customs ClearanceIn case of Post Parcel, no Shipping Bill is required. The relevant documents are mentioned below:

• Customs Declaration Form - It is prescribed b the !niversal Postal !nion "!P!# and international ape$

bod coordinating activities of national postal administration. It is %nown b the code number &P'( &P) and to

be prepared in quadruplicate, signed b the sender.

• *espatch +ote, also %nown as &P'. It is filled b the sender to specif the action to be ta%en b the postal

department at the destination in case the address is non-traceable or the parcel is refused to be accepted.

• Prescriptions regarding the minimum and ma$imum sies of the parcel with its ma$imum weight : inimum

sie: Total surface area not less than /0 mm 1 20 mm.

a$imum sie: 3engthwise not over .04 m. easurement of an other side of circumference 0.2 m.( '.00 m.

a$imum weight: 0 %g usuall, '0 %g for some destinations.

• Commercial invoice - Issued b the seller for the full realisable amount of goods as per trade term.

• Consular Invoice - ainl needed for the countries li%e 5ena, !ganda, Tanania, auritius, +ew 6ealand,

Burma, Iraq, 7usatralia, 8i9i, &prus, +igeria, hana, 6anibar etc. It is prepared in the prescribed format and is

signed( certified b the counsel of the importing countr located in the countr of e$port.• Customs Invoice - ainl needed for the countries li%e !S7, &anada, etc. It is prepared on a special form

being presented b the &ustoms authorities of the importing countr. It facilitates entr of goods in the importing

countr at preferential tariff rate.

• Legalised/Visaed Invoice - This shows the seller;s genuineness before the appropriate consulate( chamber 

of commerce( embass. It do not have an prescribed form.

• Certified Invoice - It is required when the e$porter needs to certif on the invoice that the goods are of a

particular origin or manufactured( pac%ed at a particular place and in accordance with specific contract. Sight

*raft and !sance *raft are available for this. Sight *raft is required when the e$porter e$pects immediate

pament and !sance *raft is required for credit deliver.

• Packing List - It shows the details of goods contained in each parcel( shipment.

• Certificate of Inspection - It shows that goods have been inspected before shipment.

• Black List Certificate - It is required for countries which have strained political relation. It certifies that the

ship or the aircraft carring the goods has not touched those countr"s#.

• Weight Note - rigin for few countries to show

that the goods shipped have actuall been manufactured and are available.

• Certificate of Chemical "nal#sis - It is required to ensure the qualit and grade of certain items such as

metallic ores, pigments, etc.

• Certificate of $hipment - It signifies that a certain lot of goods have been shipped.

• %ealth/ Veterinar#/ $anitar# Certification  -

• Cart/ Lorr# 'icket  - It is prepared for admittance of the cargo through the port gate and includes the

shipper;s name, cart( lorr +o., mar%s on pac%ages, quantit, etc.

• $hut (ut "dvice  - It is a statement of pac%ages which are shut out b a ship and is prepared b the

concerned shed and is sent to the e$porter.

• $hort $hipment Form - It is an application to the customs authorities at port which advises short shipment

of goods and required for claiming the return.• $hipping "dvice - It is prepared in aligned document to be used to inform the overseas customer about the

shipment of goods.
