Urte batzuk igaro dira dagoeneko Kooperatiba sortu zenutenetik. Zer garai gogoratzen dituzu bereziki?Bai, zortzi urte pasa dira dagoeneko. Hasierak izan ziren zailenak, lehenengo bi edo hiru urteak. Gauza asko genituen esku artean, lan taldea finkatu beharra zegoen, adibidez. Beste enpresa batetik gentozen, guztiak lankideak ginen, baina Kooperatiba sortzean zegokigun eginkizuna ezberdina zen, gu geu ginelako geure proiektuaren arduradun eta jabe. Horrek lan egiteko era asko aldatzen du. Funtzioak banatu behar izan genituen. Bestalde, bezeroak lortzeko erronka genuen, edozein enpresa berri bezala, negozio eredua finkatu, merkatuan sartu, eta abar.

Zein da gehien lantzen duzuen jardue-ra?Batez ere, Loturan web garapenak, e-marketing-a, irisgarritasuna eta komu-nikazio korporatiboa lantzen ditugu eta, batik bat, enpresa txiki eta ertainentzat, administrazio publikoentzat eta enpresa elkarteentzat egiten ditugu proiektuak.

Zein abantailak eta eragozpenak izan dituzue urte hauetan zehar Kooperati-ba izateagatik?Egia esan, eragozpenak badaude, guk ez ditugu somatu. Kooperatiba formula aukeratu genuen gure ikuspegiarekin guztiz bat zetorrelako. Beste formula batek guretzat ez zuen zentzurik. Proie-ktua guztiona zen, zati berdinetan. Gure lan egiteko era oso horizontala da. Ni neu, presidente bezala, ez dut funtzio berezirik. Alor burokratikoak besterik ez zaizkit tokatzen.

Dependence on the new technologies

When we changed our place of work. Aswe were a cooperative, we received agrant from the National EmploymentInstitute, which enabled us to make thechange.

What was the best moment?

Is there still a big demand for theservices of new technologies? Yes, and I would say that this hasbeen a big help during the crisis. So, do I take it that you haven’t been affected by the crisis?

Idoia Soto is the president of Lotura, a cooperative societymade up of eight people. This work team arose from anothercompany. As they were directly affected by a redundancy planin February, 2003, they decided to found a cooperative. Idoiawas appointed sole director although she confesses that shehas the same functions as the rest of the team members.

It’s some years now since you founded the cooperative, what moments do you remember in particular? That’s right, it’s been eight years. Thefirst two or three years things were hard. We had lots of things on our hands; for one, we had to consolidate the team. We’d just left another company and wewere old colleagues but in thecooperative we all had different functionsbecause we were the ones responsiblefor our project. This has a big effect onthe way you work. We had to take some decisions regarding the various functions and, at the same time, we had to obtainclients, just like any other company,establish the business model, find our place on the market, etc.

The premises, which belonged to theparents of one of the members of theteam, were old and unsuitable for receiving clients as they were in a pavilion not developed for the purpose. After spending two years there we wereable to buy the office we have today.

For us, the cooperative is the only formula that makes sense”

The world of new technologies isvast. What is your most common activity? At Lotura we work mainly on the development of the Web, accessibility and corporate communication. We carry out projects especially for small and medium-sized companies, the public administration and entrepreneurial associations. During these years, what have been the advantages and disadvantages of being a cooperative? To tell you the truth, we haven’t really noticed any disadvantages. We chose the cooperative formula because it fitted in perfectly with our idea. Any other formula wouldn’t have made sense to us. We all participated equally in the project. The way we work is very horizontal. I myself, as president, don’t have any special function other than dealing with bureaucratic matters.

So far things are going well. We’ve got loyal clients. The investment in new technologies is not very great. It’s quite cheap to get projects underway on theInternet. And, besides, nowadays dependence on this sector is growing as the need for information and knowledgeis greater.

Idoia Soto es la presidenta de Lotura, una sociedad cooperativaformada por ocho personas. Este grupo de trabajo surgió deotra empresa. Debido a un Expediente de Regulación deEmpleo, decidieron, en febrero del 2003, crear una cooperativa.Nombraron a Idoia administradora única, aunque confiesa quetiene las mismas funciones que el resto de miembros delequipo.

Han pasado ya algunos años desde que creasteis la cooperativa. ¿Qué épocas recuerdas especialmente? Sí, han pasado ya ocho años. Los comienzos fueron los más difíciles, los primeros dos o tres años. Teníamos muchas cosas entre manos; debíamosafianzar el equipo, por ejemplo. Veníamos de otra empresa, éramostodos compañeros de trabajo, pero en la cooperativa nos correspondíanfunciones diferentes, porque éramos nosotros mismos los responsables ydueños de nuestro proyecto. Eso cambia mucho la manera de trabajar. Teníamos que distribuir las funciones. Además, debíamos hacer frente al reto deconseguir clientes, como cualquier otra empresa; establecer el modelo denegocio; entrar en el mercado, etc.

Para nosotros, no tiene sentido ninguna otra fórmula que no sea la de una cooperativa” El mundo de las nuevas tecnologíases inmenso. ¿Cual es vuestraactividad más común? En Lotura trabajamos ante todo en el desarrollo Web, el e-marketing, la accesibilidad y la comunicación corporativa. Realizamos proyectossobre todo para pequeñas y medianas empresas, administraciones públicas y asociaciones empresariales. ¿Con qué ventajas y qué desventajas os habéis encontrado estos años por ser una cooperativa?A decir verdad, si hay alguna desventaja, nosotros no la hemos notado. Nos decantamos por la fórmula cooperativa porque era totalmente acorde con nuestro planteamiento. Cualquier otra fórmula no tenía sentido para nosotros. El proyecto era de todos, a partes iguales. Nuestro modo de trabajar es muy horizontal. Yo misma, como presidenta, no tengo ninguna función especial, más que la de encargarme de los temas burocráticos.

De momento, al menos, nos va bien.Tenemos clientes fieles. La inversiónque hay que hacer en las nuevastecnologías no es muy grande. Es bastante barato poner en marchaproyectos en Internet. Además, hoy endía la dependencia hacia este sector escada vez mayor, las necesidades deinformación y conocimiento son cadavez mayores…
