How to spend a day in RomeA nice itineraryLet's see how to spend a day in Rome.

Starting from via del Velabro, today we are going to see the Church of San Giorgio al Velabro, near the church it can be seen the Arch of Argentari. We then move to visit the Arch of Janus.

We'll descend to Piazza Bocca della Verità in order to visit the Mouth of Truth and the Church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin. On the opposite of the church we must pay attention to the temples that are seen on the horizon: the temple of Hercules and the Temple of Portunus or Temple of Fortuna Virile.

Then we go on Largo Amerigo Petrucci, passing through Lungotevere Pierleoni until we'll reach Palatine Bridge that leads directly to Trastevere. From this bridge we'll look at Ponte Rotto and Tiber Island that it could be surely seen better from Ponte Cestius continuing to cross Lungotevere degli Alberteschi . We'll cross Tiber Island, passing

through Ponte Cestius and arriving in Ponte Fabricio we'll arrive into Lungotevere De' Cenci in Campo Marzio that connects Trastevere with the Jewish ghetto.

Here, if we would, we can visit the Synagogue with the Jewish Museum.

At lunch time we'll move right into the Portico d'Ottavia in order to eat the famous Jewish-Roman cuisine. From Lungotevere De' Cenci we'll go to the via del Tempio till we'll reach Via del Portico d'Ottavia. Here we really are spoiled for choice about which place choose to eat. But before we begin to have lunch, we'll go to visit the Pillars of the Portico d'Ottavia and the Temple of Apollo Sosiano.

After lunch,we'll move from the Jewish ghetto to Via Teatro di Marcello in order to

visit this siteWe come then to Piazza d'Aracoeli, then to Via d'Aracoeli until we'll reach Via delle Botteghe Oscure wonderful place in order to

have a break and to snoop at artisan shops and decide something special to buy. We'll go from here in Via Paganica and we'll arrive in Piazza Mattei to see Turtle Fountain.
