Notes• Virgin had some big moves this week, but most of the legacy carriers actually had

appreciable levels of fare drops. Legacy carriers were mostly quiet.

Notes• In quiet periods such as this, where “strategic” fare moves are fewer, you really get to see the more

“tactical” fare change intervals in action: the $10, $15, $20, etc.

Notes• For the second week in a row, we are seeing some volatility in New York JFK flights.

Notes• From the fare hike on

the LA/Chicago last week comes a welcome reprieve: 91% of our tracked fares between the two cities dropped by a median $58.

• Not-so-welcome news for those traveling JFK-SFO, however. Prices on this mainstay route are up by median $43, for 70% of fares.

• These fares were observed over a seven-day period ending May 9, 2015.• Most commercial carriers in the US are represented.
