Summary of Needs

• Developing a community website for designers to contest for competitions

• Users Module: Allow users to submit, view & manage their entries across competitions

• Contests Module: View details for past, present and future Design competitions

• Entries Module: Ability to view details about entries submitted to the contest

• Social Media Module: Collaborative features to rate, discuss and share entries.

• Community building: Build a portal of designers to encourage innovation , inspire and

learn

• Personal Branding: Vanity Page URL’s for users (students, professionals) to showcase

their design

• Corporate Branding: Direti Logo displayed on all pages thereby reinforcing the

company’s initiative

• Collaboration: Forum to hear the voice of the crowd, share

• User Experience: Enhanced user experience to ensure the objectives are achieved

visually and functionally thereby creating an impact on every site user• Analysis & Objectives: Comprehend operational scenarios, actors ad objectives of the

site

• Research: Complete study on latest trends and buzz in the community site building

space

• Key Modules: Identify Key Modules to achieve the stated objectives

• Feature Lists: Documenting features and prioritizing based on utility

• Brainstorming/Ideating: Engage in discussion with users, ideate and develop user

flows

• Execution: Final execution with wireframes, navigation flow and visual design.

Wireframes

Initiated the process with creation of master template using the 960 grid 3

column.

Planning the layout design, placement of design elements and effect utilization of

real estate

The design is inspired from a complete kitchen look

with pots, pans, coffee mugs and hand gloves

depicting design chefs cooking up some cool design.

It follows a minimalist look and feel with a vector

based execution.

Visually appealing interface with sufficient real

estate dedicated to establishing the theme of the

concept. Primary and secondary text placeholders

are aimed at giving users snippets of information

about the latest buzz, winning entries & contests.

The directi link appears on the header of the all the

pages as part of corporate branding for the

company.
