Deep Blue vs Ocean 7

I know nothing about Deep Blue or Ocean 7 but I saw a Ocean 7 LM6 and it has the exact

same dial as the Deep Blue Master 2000 anyone know whether one or the other companies

are copying each other or if they are both borrowing from a previous watch? Also any

oppinions about deep blue vs ocean 7 as far as preferences for either brand? __________________

never owned or seen an ocean7 in person, but they are sweet! Have 1 DB2000 and another

one on the way, and can say that I am stunned by how awesome this timepiece is.

Back to the original question on the dials though does anyone know if one brand is copying

the other on this or if it is borrowed from another company??

Probably sourcing all the cases, hands and bracelets etc...from one source. Then just

chaning up the dials. There are a few other companies out there that very simialar to DB's, but not as afforable.

Form a look at the dive watches on the O 7 site I wouldn't be supprised if they all came from the same factory.

of the batch, DB is the best value, i've even seen one company use same case and put same

movement but charge 2000 for it __________________

Exactly Dave! They might be similar but not the same, also

alot of dive watches have that same look and markings.

The DB is a good bit larger than the Ocean7.

They are both killer pieces, thats for sure!

I own five DB and will be ordering three more as soon as they are available. Quality and

customer service are #1 with Deep Blue, because you are dealing with STAN.

I own both in question. They are similar but not the same. The first thing is the date window,

db is at 3 o'clock and O7 at 6 o'clock. The thickness of the hour markers are also noticeably

different. More differences including lume, DB wins this one by a long shot. But as Strutn45 says you can't go wrong with either they are both great watches.

Lume shots...DB is really not that much better in the lume department except the bezel and the hands are a bit thicker.

Both are great and pick the one you like best for sure. There are a couple of points in favor

of the O7 that the DB does not offer. These may not be important to you but the O7 is 1.

Swiss Made and 2. ETA 2893.

You might take a look at post #8 in the following link for Watch_Crazy's interesting post on a

similar subject...

http://watchgeeks.net/showthread.php...ue#post1790141

Regardless... the Deep Blue line of watches are a tremendous value... I have become a huge

fan... picked up two last month!
