The Third Annual intrastate BBQ Championship series will consist of five KCBS sanctioned BBQ competition events across
North Carolina including Kings Mountain, Lexington, Kannapolis, and Salisbury, and Shelby. Championship BBQ teams com-
peting in these five events will be accumulating points to earn the honor of being called the 2016 Old North State Series Grand
Champion and Reserve Grand Champion (1st Runner-Up) and a prize purse of $2,000 and $1,500, respectively. Additional
payout includes: 3rd overall $1,000; 4th $500; and 5th $500.
