Student Behaviors

• Be prompt! Be ready to learn when class begins.

• Be prepared! Have materials (paper & pencil) with you

everyday.

• Be a polite and positive participant! Speak when called upon and listen attentively.

• Be productive! Turn in work on time and always do your best.

• Be a problem solver! Correct problems quickly and peacefully before

they escalate.

Show Respect

• BE APPROPRIATE IN ALL YOUR ACTIONS!!!

• Value yourself. Be honest and ethical, and practice strong moral values.

• Treat all members of the school community and all visitors with politeness and respect.

• Honor the ideas and opinions of others.

• DO NOT interfere with the learning of others.

• Offer to help.

• Be responsible with property and belongings.

Responsibility for Coursework

• Bring a binder, paper, and appropriate writing tools to class everyday.

• Keep your notes and graded work in your binder.

• Know due dates, and submit all coursework on time.

• All assignments are posted on the reminder board.

Policies• Food and beverages are not allowed in the classroom

except a water bottle.

• Please be in your seat when the bell rings, as class begins at that time.

• Major assignments and projects can be resubmitted. They will be scored at a 10% deduction.

• Absences: Each absence has a one-day grace period. Pick-up copies of hand-outs. Ask a classmate for notes. You are responsible for your make-up work.

Grading

• Grades are based on the accumulation of points.

• Points are based on: Class participation

(effort) Completion of assignments

(daily class work) Major projects, quizzes, and

tests

Classroom Routines

• Class begins with a warm-up. Students keep their warm-ups all week and turn them in at the end of the week.

• Passes are for emergencies only! If you must leave the room wait for a pass and sign in & out on the log sheet.

• Tickets are given for participation and when I feel like it. Drawings are held at the end of the

week, depending on class behavior. ☺• Clean-up your area before I dismiss you!

Class Rules Reminders • No talking during instruction

• Raise your hand for questions or comments

• DO NOT insult or disturb others

• A binder is required for this class and you MUST bring paper and something to write with every day

• Participation in class work is required

• No eating or chewing gum in class. Only water is allowed.

• Do not throw objects and do not damage school property.

• No electronics, cell phones, MP3s

• Be respectful at all times!
