NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has:• 45,000 members of staff;

• 10 Acute hospital sites;

• Hundreds of Medical Centres;

• A population of 1.2 million;

• Huge gulfs in social demographics;

• Huge reliance on cars!

Why did we need people to share their journeys?

• Introduction of Managed Car Parking Policy;

• Congestion on large hospital sites;

• Congestion in Greater Glasgow area;

• Genuine attempt to help people save money

What did we do?

• Approached Liftshare to provide options;• Engaged with Staff Side reps;• Used postcode information to target

specific hospitals first;• Peppered all sites with leaflets;• Held Roadshows at all sites;• Ran competitions for new members;• Practiced what we preached!
