Do you use Orchestrator?
vCenter Orchestrator is a Workflow Engine, with Workflows to orchestrate most vSphere operations. Uses “plugins” to gain access to API’s for other systems.
About 12% of vSphere customers use vCenter Orchestrator*
Used to be hard to set up. They fixed that.
Used to be a separate UI. They fixed that.
Has always been drag and drop, with some scripting. They kept that.

Workflow Steps: For all the servers in the Cluster: Put server in maintenance mode (vCenter plugin)
Clone Service Profile Template
Set new Firmware policy on new Template
Disconnect Service Profile from original Template
Connect Service Profile to new Template (UCS plugin)
Wait for firmware upgrade completion
Bring server out of maintenance mode
