Renewable and non-renewable energy

Renewable energy

Renewable enrgy is energy which is generated from natural sources. They are available in plenty and by far most the cleanest sources of

energy available on this planet.

For example:

EXAMPLES SOLAR ENERGY WIND POWER HYDRAULIC ENERGY BIOMASS

SOLAR ENERGY Solar energy is radiant light and heat from the sun harnessed using

a range of ever-evolving technologies such as solar heating, solar photovoltaics, solar thermal energy, solar architecture and artificial photosynthesis.

WIND POWER Wind power is extracted from air flow using wind turbines or sails

to produce mechanical or electrical power.

HYDRAULIC ENERGY Hydraulic energy is power derived from the energy of falling water

and running water, which may be harnessed for useful purposes.

BIOMASS Biomass is biological material derived from living, or recently living

organisms.

Non-renewable energy

Non-renewable energy  is a resource that does not renew itself at a sufficient rate for sustainable economic extraction in meaningful human time-frames.

For example:

EXAMPLESCOALPETROLEUMNATURAL GAS

COAL Coal  is a combustible black or brownish-black sedimentary rock usually

occurring in rock strata in layers or veins called coal beds or coal seams.

PETROLEUM Petroleum is a naturally occurring, yellow-to-black liquid found in geological

formations beneath the Earth's surface, which is commonly refined into various types of fuels.

NATURAL GAS Natural gas is a fossil fuel formed when layers of buried plants,

gases, and animals are exposed to intense heat and pressure over thousands of years.
