One Tuesday morning, when the sun was shining and the birds were singing, I was looking out of the window in the living room. Miss Fraser was catching up on some television whilst eating her Cheerios. It was a peaceful morning even though I knew it was going to be an action packed day. Well, it would be if I had any thing to do with it…

Looking out onto the springtime sunshine,

the colourful flowers against the luscious

emerald grass, the perfect blue sky and

the clouds that were as fluffy as cotton wool, I was keen to get amongst it all. Five minutes later, I had talked Miss Fraser into an adventure (well not

talked, but more stared at her until she gave

in).

Stepping out into the sunshine felt great! A few minutes later, we were in the car

and ready to go. The fresh air coming through the window felt great against my skin

although the sound of Miss Fraser singing wasn’t so great. A few seconds later, the

horrendous singing had stopped whilst the peaceful sound again of the birds singing

and the sound of the car engine whirring sent me to sleep…

About half an hour later, we were there! The park! Instantly, I sprung to life, crying with excitement. She had taken me to the park! Woo hoo! Jumping

out of the car, I could see the shimmering pond, the familiar towering trees as well

as the same old ducks we see every week. I felt at home here. The park was my playground.

“Fetch!” Miss Fraser called.

Woo hoo! Running energetically towards the blue ball, I was pleased to find out our

trip to the park had begun in the best way possible. Seconds later, I found the ball.

“Man I am good at this game!” I thought to myself as I bounded back to Miss Fraser.

“Okay!” she was impressed. “Let’s walk round the park and give you some proper

exercise.”

Then made our way around the park. Then Miss Fraser decided we should

go into the forest. I felt so excited as I love the forest! Then we were

walking amongst the trees although I couldn’t seem to find any rabbits.

Then we saw another dog in the forest. I bounded up to the larger dog in

quite a friendly manner (or so I thought). Then the other dog growled

loudly. I quickly ran back to the safety of Miss Fraser. Then we ended up

turning in a different direction. Then we ended up back in the park. We

walked around the duck pond. Then Miss Fraser bumped into an old friend.

I could hear children laughing and ducks quacking and lapping in the water.

Then I hopped onto my hind legs and scanned the view before me. I felt so

happy be in the park.

Then we went to the beach.

I can discuss some features of a recountEventually, after such a perfect day, we arrived home. I was just having a bit of a chill out and relax when I heard my mam’s voice.My grandad (Miss Fraser’s dad) was fixing the washer.

“I think,” she began to speak to me slowly.

What now? I thought to myself. A nice juicy steak? A final run around in the back garden?

“You need to go in the bath. You’re scruffy!” she asserted quite crossly.

“Do you have any dog shampoo left?” questioned Grandad loudly from the kitchen.

“Oh yes!” Mam said with a smile. “I have plenty!”

So that was that. My tail went down and I tried my best to hide behind the cushions. Although, I thought to myself. A perfect day was had by all. I thought back to all the lovely things that had

happened and how much fun I had.
