It is with great pleasure as Mayor of Moonee Valley City Council that I present this Calendar of Events to support you and your staff to succeed in business. Moonee Valley has over 10,000 businesses, of that, 98 per cent of businesses employee less than 20 people and 82 percent turn over $500,000 or less annually. Small business is the heart and soul of the Moonee Valley economy and is important to ensure local people have local jobs. Council understands that small business needs targeted, cost effective and convenient professional development solutions to ensure that you and your staff have the same opportunities for growth as companies with million dollar budgets. This program aims to provide you with a competitive advantage over your rivals. This year’s calendar is built around the signature events, the very popular Women in Business luncheon and the Business Networking evening. It is packed full of the traditional nuts and bolts programs and a range of new and exciting programs. The success of the Events Calendar is hinged on the calibre of speakers and this year’s line-up has a wealth of professional and practical experience. I look forward to seeing you at these events and encourage you to take advantage of as many as you can, this program has been developed for you. Cr Andrea SuraceMayor Moonee Valley City Council
