APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

This information may also be downloaded by going to the CBA website: www.bus.ucf.edu. From there, click on “Current Students” and then click on “Scholarship Information.”

Please read carefully BEFORE completing your application.

Thank you for your interest in the Lockheed-Martin Management Club/G.T. Willey Scholarship. This scholarship is offered through the UCF College of Business Administration Dean’s Office. The funds for this scholarship will be distributed through the UCF Financial Aid Office. The deadline for your application and supporting documents is Tuesday, December 13, 2005, by 5 p.m. to be turned in to: CBA Undergraduate Student Services, CBA II- Room 101. Please note that late or incomplete scholarships will not be considered. It is important to be meticulous in packaging your scholarship applications. Be sure to type your information, check for grammar and typos, and make sure you provide all required information. Applicants must submit the following typed information when applying for Dean’s Office scholarships:

• A completed scholarship application. • An essay (see application for criteria). • A current resume. • 3 current letters of recommendation (written within the past 12 months of

application date) addressed to: “CBA Dean’s Office Scholarship Committee.” • A current SASS audit or transcripts.

FOR: ONLY DECLARED MANAGEMENT OR MIS MAJORS ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY. Undergraduate applicants should be enrolled full time and must have least junior status with at least one semester of course work remaining before graduation. Preference will be given to current Lockheed Martin student interns. CRITERIA:

• Applicant must be a DECLARED Management OR Management Information Systems (MIS) major.

• Applicant must be an undergraduate student with junior or senior status with at least one more semester remaining AFTER the current semester.

• Preference will be given to current Lockheed Martin student interns. • Applicant should be enrolled as a full-time student for the majority of coursework

at UCF. • Applicant should have maintained an overall UCF and major coursework grade

point average of at least a 3.0. Candidates with the highest GPA will be considered first; however, the other required criteria must be met as well.

• Applicant should exhibit a professional interest in Management or MIS (for example, by holding membership in a Management or MIS-related organization);

• Applicant should exhibit a commitment to the Management or MIS major by having completed at least two Management or MIS courses in the Management or MIS electives area, as well as two courses in Management or MIS core-required coursework.

• Applicant should have completed most of their business coursework at UCF as opposed to transferring from another university.

• Applicant should have distinguished themselves in Management or MIS classes so as to be recognizable to several Management or MIS faculty members as a student of significant worth.

• Applicants should not be a direct relative of a current member of the Lockheed-Martin Marietta Management Club. However, if a candidate is clearly superior in meeting the other required criteria, the relationship test may be waived following consideration by LMMC.

• Recipient must be willing to attend and be honored at a Lockheed-Martin Management Club luncheon (The date for this event is TBD at this point).

AWARD: One $2,000 award for the Spring 2006 semester. DEADLINE: Tuesday, December 13, 2005, by 5 p.m. SUBMIT: Return completed application packet and required supporting documents to CBA Undergraduate Student Services, CBA II- Room 101, on or before the deadline above.
