I can assure you with full conviction that nearly all the leaders that you know of, all the popular and accomplished figures of our industry didn't do it overnight.

They started with a blank slate, just as you did, and they worked their “you-know-what”s off learning, applying, persisting and staying committed.

One commonality I have observed of the leaders in this industry which I have had the good fortune to meet and learn from is that they, like myself, do not consider that failure is an option.

It's just not something they even think of as a possibility.

They simply persist toward the goal.

Factually, there is no such thing as failure.

You will either CREATE your ideal situation (whatever that may be for you) pushing through, committed, persisting toward your goal no matter what obstacles you run into, or you will not create it.


It is no more complex than that. Commitment, persistence, the willingness to learn and to think big about what your tomorrow will be , are the things that I cannot impart to you.

Those are all within you and are 99% of the “secret” my friend.

The rest is just all the “stuff” you need to know and do to get the job done, to make your dreams manifest in the physical universe.

You can make this happen.

You are the only one who can.

Or you can make nothing happen.

You are the only one who can do that as well.

Responsibility for you own situation cannot be escaped.

You are creating it or you are not.

Either way, you are getting exactly what you create.

Scary for some, but true.

Since I began my professional marketing career in 2005 I have observed clearly, certain common behaviors that flat-out guarantee NO RESULTS.

Many of these behaviors are chosen because the person in question simply isn't seeing the real problem and doesn't even know what it is that he doesn't know.

There are certain “recommendations” that you hear from so-called “leaders” which are considered so commonplace now as to be meaningless. These are the types of advices you will find all over YouTube.com, presented by the army of inexperienced yet aspiring entrepreneurs who are doing their best to impart to you the latest knowledge gained from whatever free webinar they recently attended.


“Attraction Marketing” has become trite and the industry has gotten to the point where there are so many “experts” that the average newbie cannot even differentiate one from the other.

We've got an ocean of “experts” most of whom are not making any money at all.

It's the “blind-leading-the-blind” to the Nth-power.

But in the torrent of information and recommendations it can be seen, by someone who has been doing it successfully themselves for some time-- someone such as myself--that there are certain specific points that are not being talked about.

These are the points that are the most important in my opinion.

The reasons why they are not being disclosed are many-fold.

Some are getting rich and just don't want anyone else copying them.

Some just don't know them due to lack of experience and understanding.

Some simply do not have the communication ability to express it in a way that can be understood by the Average Joe.

Sadly, these things, in the very great majority of cases that I observe, are the very things which are keeping people broke.

Remember though, there is no getting around laziness, “stinkin'-thinkin', or outright stupidity.

I knew that it was possible to create an automated online business that would allow me to be free.

However it did take me some time to get to where I am now with a healthy multiple five figure per month income working very very part time…..

I usually work just for a couple of hours every day when I am busy with my stuff and Seema with hers. And if we are home, after work,we go to the gym followed by shopping or meeting friends or a long drive or a movie(we both are huge movie buffs!) or just a chilled out time at home, mostly ending the day by planning our future, like planning our next vacation and all. We talk a lot on what we want out of our lives and how we want to spend it together. Infact we have an old habit of maintaining our diary of our dreamlist …. Live is a bliss!

Now, just to be clear, my internet “empire” didn't start that long ago. It's been a little over 2years now. But my marketing career began in 2007 with network marketing, which I fell in love with.

Three reasons why:

1.) Residual Income ( Boo-Yah! ) 2.) The work is very social and interactive 3.) I love seeing people develop and improve their situation


It was tough in the beginning...

In the beginning, like most people who enter that industry, I was awful.

It took me about a year to get to where I was making enough money just with my network marketing business to support myself.

The following year I did very well. I had my first $20K+ month in January of 2008.

There were some critical skills I learned doing offline marketing for those types of businesses.

You can learn about the specifics of all that as we connect more in the future but for the moment I'll just tell you that the group that I worked with—a group of entrepreneurs with a combined 70 years of experience between the three of them—gave the sort of mentorship and knowledge that most people in that industry will never have the chance to connect with.

In fact, much of what I learned doing off-line network marketing, I still use today, only in an automated fashion, using the internet.

I have no one to answer to (except to my love!! Haha…yeah she is our financial manager and investor).

I work when I want. I've automated almost everything that consumes time.

My income is substantial but you know what?


That's just money. I don't know what someone does with a big pile of money.

Broke people usually think that all their problems are because they don't have enough money.

This is false. The reason they don't have enough money is because of their problems.

The lack of abundance is a symptom, not a cause.

What Lifestyle Do You Seek?

Perhaps you have grandiose dreams about vacationing at posh beach-side resorts in all the most beautiful locations on Earth.

Maybe you want to swim with the dolphins and ride horse-back through volcanic mountains.

Maybe you want to sky-dive every weekend and drive a car that costs more than your current house.

Here is one of my latest toy’s : ( Audi Sports Edition )

Or perhaps you want a mansion and a yacht, complete with a house-keeper and butler.

Whoa!

For me, I did all that fancy traveling and paying cash for cars and “money-wasting”, as I like to call it now, many years ago.


For me, the lifestyle I wanted when creating my internet business was simply that of freedom to do what I want or to not do what I want, when I want, dig?

I mean, money is great, but lots of money with no freedom isn't too cool if you ask me.

But only you can define the lifestyle that you seek.

And you do have to define it.

And you have to define it exactly.

Write it down.

See it.

Feel it.

Make it real to yourself internally.

I don't care what your goal lifestyle is.

You can have juggling midgets and elephants serving you champagne pool-side if you want.

But define it for God's sake!

Don't just maunder along thinking, “Well, it'd be nice if I could pay the rent on time someday... uh... yeah... huh, huh.”

For me the “Dot-Com Lifestyle” means:

• I don't have to wake up to an alarm every morning

• I don't have to send my daughter off to be raised by strangers every day because I have to go to a job

• I don't have to ask permission to take just 2 weeks every year to do with my life what I want


• I don't have to “make arrangements” every time I get a cold or my kid is sick

• I don't have to fight rush-hour traffic and waste 10 to 15 hours of every week just sitting in my car waiting to get to and from a job

• I don't have to shuffle bil s in order to pay them before cut-off dates because I'm only one pay-check away from broke

• I don't have to tolerate some negative person or conflicting personality that I might otherwise be forced to share me day with at a job

• I don't have to stay in one place but am free to travel wherever I want

• I don't have to waste time in the grocery store comparing prices because I need to save $0.17 on a can of green-beans, for example

• I don't have to charge up credit cards and pay astounding interest rates to borrow money every time something unexpected comes up, such as medical expenses or a clothes washer that has died

• I don't have to “miss” my kid all day long, hoping that she's okay

• I don't have to worry about my daughter looking back later in life and having the idea that “Dad wasn't around very much”

• I don't have to put my entire life on hold every day for 8 to 10 hours

For me, it's about freedom.

And it's a freedom that you can have if you're willing to learn some things and you're willing to apply what you've learned and you are willing to stay committed to yourself and to not let yourself down by giving up on yourself.


Be a friend to you.

Treat yourself better by creating a better life for yourself--a “Dot-Com lifestyle”.

You'll have to define your ideal lifestyle specifically.

Once you've done that, you'l need to go through and calculate the expenses for that lifestyle.

It's very exact. You're going to need money to make that happen and unless you know exactly how much you'll need it’s not going to happen.

Once you know exactly how much cash flow you're going to need each month, only then can you work backwards to figure out the exact baby-steps that you'l need to take—the exact daily goals that you'l need to hit—to get there.

This may sound all very “Tony Robbins” to you or something like that, but I can promise you that almost no one does it.

99% of people in your situation have some vague idea about how “such-and-such would be nice to have” or “if I ever have $____, I'd do ____” .

Nope.

Doesn't work that way “Holmes”.

You gotta know where you're going and how much it's going to cost to get there by a certain date, otherwise it ain't gonna happen.

Have you done this yet? If not, get to it.

See, no one is going to do it for you.

The responsibility is all on you.

It's your ideal that you're after.

And it's not vague.


Make it clear and real.

Working Backwards

I almost never hear any industry leaders talk about this and it blows my mind!

Let's look at a practical example.

Let's say that your ideal Lifestyle is going to run you $10K per month-- which isn't nearly as much money as you think it is if you're currently an average middle-class wage-earner.

You will adjust to that income very quickly.

Anyhow, if you had to bring in $10K per month, that means you'l need to create $10,000 / 30 = $333.34 per day.

Heck, that's not even very much.

So all you need now is to sell enough to generate $333.34 daily in commissions.

Say for example you are selling a $97.00 product for a 50% commission.

That's $48.50 per sale.

$333.34 / $48.50 = 6.8, or 7 sales per day.

Now let's say that your Sales Page has a 1% conversion rate from lead-to-sale, meaning that for every 100 leads that you send to that offer over, say, a 30-day period, 1 of them buys that product. 1 out of 100...

Well, you need to sell 7 per day in this example don't you?

In this example you'd need to get at least 700 people per day to your offer wouldn't you?


Now, these are just hypothetical and results always vary and one day they convert better and another day they convert worse, but overall hypothetical examples is all we're going for here.

But 700 leads per day is a ton of leads!

I've been doing this for years and I don't generate 700 leads per day.

I've had 500+ lead-generation days, but those are not regular occurrences.

In fact, the only people I know who generate that many leads in a single day are those leaders who have created their own affiliate programs and most of the leads are being generated by their affiliates.

You see the problem here?

It's just too darn expensive to generate that much traffic to your site in this example.

Remember, we're assuming that you get to keep the entire $48.50.

We haven't even considered the cost of the traffic to get all those leads to your offer page!

Add in your advertising costs and you're totally in-the-hole.

A good lead-capture page might get a 30 to 40% conversion rate from visitor to opt-in lead.

This means that out of every 100 people to arrive at your landing page, 30 to 40 enter their email to get more information.

We're assuming here that the next thing those people wil see is your sales page—your offer.

So in order to get 700 leads per day you'd be looking at 1,750 to 2,334 unique visitors to your lead capture page every single day on average.


That's with 50% commission.

Many of these MLM-type companies have conversion rates of 0.02% and they pay about 20% on the initial sale.

Great Googly-Moogly!

Are you starting to see why so many people just don't last long when they try to get an internet business up and running?

Hey, don't cry.

I'm not trying to discourage you.

I just want you to look at how we're going to go about working this all out and I want you to face the truth of what you're dealing with.

Do you know how many new marketers just jump in and a week later they are broke and ready to quit?

They don't even bother to run the numbers backwards to see what is really workable.

Good news is, you're not going to be one of those folks any more, are you?

Don't worry, I'm going to hook you up big-time as we go through this book and things wil look brighter and brighter as we start looking at solutions.

Okay, let's get into some more truths about this industry and some solutions...


How The Money Is Made Online

There are essentially three ways that people make money on the internet.

1.) Affiliate Marketing (includes network marketing/MLM)

2.) Selling your own products

3.) Licensing

1. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is where you (the affiliate) generate customers for some other company or product vendor and in exchange they pay you a commission for each sale that you make.

Some affiliate programs are “continuity” programs in that they require that the customer pay a monthly fee for membership or for use of that product.

Usually this type of program will also pay the selling affiliate a commission for each month that the customer stays active ( continues to pay their monthly fee ).

Affiliate marketing has become very popular in the last few years.

At the time of writing this eBook, at least in the USA, we are about 6 years into an economic depression, though most people aren't calling it a “Depression” that is what it is.

When the economy is terrible and jobs are hard to find like they are right now there are literally mil ions of people out there looking for ways to make money.

Many of them have never done anything on their own to create income.


They have always been employed.

These folks begin searching online for ways to make money and, as you probably know, they wil find hundreds and hundreds of different “get rich quick” schemes and things that seem “too-goo-to-be-true”.

Many of the sales pages make it look so easy.

Network Marketing (Multi-Level Marketing) is also being done heavily online and while it's an industry that I've had great success in, most of the new people coming in really are clueless as to what it takes to make such a business work.

I would consider network marketing to essentially be affiliate marketing because you are selling someone else's products.

The difference being that you get paid from sales of those people underneath you in the “pyramid” as well as your own.

This can be very enticing to people because of the potential for residual income.

Many typical MLM-type programs also require that you purchase their products at wholesale and resell them with a mark-up in order to generate profits.

I would consider such a model to be fairly out-of-date and inconvenient since it a pain to have to stock product and deliver it.

Generally, this type of business model doesn't pay very well in comparison either.

The lure is the idea that earning a small percentage of the effort of thousands of people is better than earning 100% of your own effort.

In most cases that turns out to be only a theory and very few people ever actually realize a sizable residual income or a lifestyle of freedom from such models.


What the failure rate is with such a thing I couldn't say exactly but if I had to guess based on 16+ years in the industry I'd say it's at least 97%.

Because of this, many new home business start-ups wil opt for typical affiliate marketing instead.

Generally the commission percentages would be much higher, there is often no recurring cost or “auto-shipping” of product that they have to commit to and there is no product to stock.

They just sign up and start directing people to the offer.

There is a massive problem with most Affiliate Marketing programs.

That is this:

You aren't getting customers for yourself. You are getting customers for someone else.

Your Customers Versus Their Customers

Certainly there is nothing inherently “wrong” with being a sales-person.

But this is a very important thing that most people (the 90%+) wil never figure out before they have spent themselves out of business.

When you work as an Affiliate to generate customers for someone else, you may be getting a commission on that particular sale but that company is going to be selling to that customer for years, possibly.

So you can make $50 for referring the customers and then over the next year that company makes $2000 from that same customer.

In many cases, that is the ONLY reason that company has an affiliate program to begin with.

It can be expensive to generate web traffic and sales.

By having an affiliate program in place they now have their affiliates (you) to do the work to bring customers in.


Imagine how much easier it is to have 1000 affiliates bringing you sales every day in comparison to having to manage all the advertising and expenses of bringing that same number of sales in to without those affiliates.

And if you think those companies are not monetizing those customers with more and more offers over time, you're crazy!

If they aren't, they are just stupid.

Big, fat, hairy, important point here:

You must create your own customer base and constantly build your own mailing list so that you can continue to monetize that customer base into the future.

90%+ of affiliate marketers are simply sending people to that offer, taking the quick commission and that's it.

They have to start all over again to get the next customer.

Bad move.

Even as an affiliate marketer the #1 mandatory thing that needs to be done is the collection of customer identities and building and maintenance of your mailing list.

This would generally be an email list, but if you collect phone numbers to do SMS (text) marketing or voice-broadcasting the same would apply.

If you are currently directing traffic to an affiliate offer, directly to a sales page, whether you are socializing on social networks such as Facebook, or you are buying ads to send traffic to those offers, stop it.


Create Your Own Customer Base

You should never send any traffic to anything except a lead-capture page.

A lead-capture page is simply a page that makes an offer and asks the visitor for permission to communicate with them further.

They read the offer and if they want it, they put their email or phone number into the slot and submit it to you.

Some people call them “Landing Pages” or “Squeeze Pages”, but they are all the same thing.

Now, instead of just bringing customers to the product vendor so that they can monetize that customer over for the next however-many years, you have also generated a customer, or at least a potential customer that you can monetize for years to come. (Or as long as they stay on your list, that is.)

You'l need an email marketing service to do this if you want to do it right and you want to have a clean list that is legal and responsive.

I use Aweber, which is really very simple to use, has excellent tutorials and fast, responsive customer service help.

Aweber will allow you to add contact forms to your lead capture pages so that you can gather your visitor’s email addreses and phone numbers…

Once you have gathered this information you can broadcast emails and set up automated follow-up email messages any time you want to your list.

I've heard it said that the average customer doesn't buy until the 7th communication or later.

I don't know whether this is true but I can tell you that I regularly get first-time sales from people who've been on my mailing list for years.

You just never know what product and what time will be right for that person.

As your list builds and develops a relationship with you, any time you decide to change product offers you still have your entire customer base to market that new offer to.

Do you see why it would be utterly foolish to NOT gather your own customers instead of just giving them away for a small affiliate commission?

What About Those Landing Pages?

Good question.

Here is another thing that almost no one considers and yet it's something that costs people their financial freedom.

Actually, I've only every heard one other online leader talk about this (not sure why) and he makes a very big deal out of this point.

He also happens to be a person who generates nearly $1 million per month, so he must know something about what he's doing.

I've been telling people this for a long time, though many of them don't bother to act on it.

It's this:

It is important to use unique landing pages.

What I mean is that the initial page that your visitors arrive to, the page that is intended to grab their contact info and garner their permission to make offers to them, should be unique, ideally.


A unique landing page, according to my own observation in my business, can increase your visitor-to-lead conversion rate by up to 30%.

And 30% is HUGE, especially when you are paying for advertising.

This has to do with rarity (uniqueness) being a cause of value.

Why are platinum and diamonds, etc. valuable?

Because they are rare.

Often a product vendor will create landing pages for their affiliates to use.

Oftentimes these pages are not the greatest or most well-written pages and they don't convert visitors into leads very well.

Other times they are well-written however when you have 50K affiliates all using the same landing page it totally waters down the effectiveness of your ad campaigns.

Many times a prospect has already opted-in and given their email to someone else who was using that same landing page.

Now, he won't do that again even though you may have totally different offers to make on the back-end.

He doesn't know you.

He doesn't know what you're going to offer.

He just knows that he's “already looked at that one” and that's the end of his interest as far as you're concerned.

Do you know that I often get leads for the exact same offer for which they have already subscribed to another marketer's list, but they find that they like my approach better and they end up buying from me, or joining my down-line instead of the first guy?

Why?


Unique lead-capture pages, that's why.

Had I never gotten their permission to communicate with the further they would never have gotten to know me and thus would never have done business with me.

Seems like a shame to lose out on all those sales and commissions simply because one is too lazy to make their own uniquely-branded landing pages doesn't it?

There is a second advantage:

There is a HUGE value in being able to just whip up a new landing page any time you want.

Any new offer you find that you want to sell, you can just create a new lead-capture page which is relevant so that you can advertise and you can find those people who are actually interested in that offer.

It is also of utmost importance to be able to make changes to your landing pages whenever you want.

Why?

Let's say you spend your money to run an ad to your landing page and you find that only 15 out of 100 people subscribed.

That is not a very great conversion rate.

You would want to “tweak” what you are doing in order to maximize your returns.

You would want your capture page to gather 30% or 40% or even 50% or more of the visitors who arrive to it, wouldn't you?

How could you go about “tweaking” that if you cannot quickly and easily make changes to your landing pages?

Right, You can't.


This is a BIG deal. Do you see this?

Do you know how many new internet marketers just continue to run the same exact landing page over and over, spamming it all over Facebook, wasting money on ads, not getting any results and they never bother to even try and tweak their landing page for better results?

It's insane.

Totally nuts.

Why do they do that?

The truth is that most of them wouldn't know how to go about building their own landing pages to begin with, let alone going back to tweak it over and over again to get better conversion rates.

Most people are not interested in all that technical stuff.

They just want to generate income.

They don't want anything to do with all that nerdy “code” and “hosting” and “FTP” and “HTML” and “CSS” and all that other technical crap.

How about you?

Wouldn't you just love to spend the next 8 months become a skilled web-master so that you can just make a decent landing page when you want to? (sarcasm)

I didn't think so. Neither do I.

What's the solution?

This is such an easy solution.

You just use a super-easy, point and click “internet-dummy” tool called LeadPages.

It's allows you to choose from tons of pre-made squeeze-page templates and to customize them with your own messages, even if you want to put your own videos in them you can do that too.

And it's stupid-simple.

You don't even have to get hosting or down-load or up-load anything if you don't want to.

You create your page from the template and they give you the link. That's it.

This is literally one of the most valuable tools you could have, no matter what sort of business you have, whether it's affiliate marketing, or you have a local pizza-shop.

Remember, it's the ability to create unique landing pages and to be able to rapidly make changes to them when needed that you're after here.

It is truly an amazing tool, and I don't say that about many tools.

Now, let's look at the next way that money is made online...




2. Selling Your Own Products

Selling one's own products is not generally something that can be done by the average person who is just getting started because:

• It really requires that you have a personal brand established and,

• It can be very expensive to get started

Also, that start-up cost is unnecessary because of what a Licensing Model can do for you, but we'll get to that later….

If you happen to have expertise in a certain subject such that you can publish an information product that is valuable and can be sold, that is great.

That is not the case with most of the people reading this eBook.

Selling your own information products can be highly profitable because the cost to produce the product is almost nothing.

After all, the buyer only has to down-load the product, which may cost a tiny fraction of a penny when all is said and done.

The real cost of creating your own information products is in the living of life which led up to you developing that expertise in the first place, then the time it will take you to create the product itself.

After that, it's negligible.

These information products are generally instructional in nature such as an eBook, membership to their website, how-to videos and so forth.

There are even products you can buy that teach you how to create information products!

Isn't that funny?


Frankly, if you're reading this right now, chances are that you don't have your own physical product to sell.

If you do that's cool, but you would be in the very small minority and chances are 99.999% that even if you do have your own product to sell, there is a whole lot that you could be doing to make way, way more money than just selling that one product.

Probably your entire sales process could be overhauled so as to be effective.

I'm not just “guessing” here.

I've attended big-time internet marketing events where there were many hundreds of people in attendance, all of whom were internet marketers, and out of these hundreds of people, when they were shown how to make real money online , hardly any one of them had their own sales funnels set up in a similar fashion... maybe one of out 500 raised his hand.

Many of the problems and obstacles related to affiliate marketing and with creating one's own information products are solved with a business model known as “Licensing”.

It really is my favorite business model, whether online or offline.

Licensing is basically franchising.

And did you know that around 85% of franchises become successful, whereas around 80% of non-franchise businesses fail?

I was amazed when I learned of that statistic.

We'll get into that in more detail in a minute.

Before we get into Licensing, let's have a look at a “real” example of what happens for most newbies entering the internet business, which may illustrate for you some of the things not to do if you want to get ahead in such a business.


The Typical No-Results Experience

For nearly everyone who ventures into trying to create income online they wil; either be attempting to sell their own product or they will be doing affiliate marketing.

Some will focus on just one product and some will offer many products….

Here's a typical experience:

Bob learns about how he can make money online by selling affiliate products so he goes to a product market-place such as Clickbank to find products to sell.

Bob find some products he thinks are interesting and he signs up as an affiliate.

Bob is now armed with a few Affiliate Links-- these are the web addresses, the URLs, that Bob wil send people to because that is where the sales presentation is.

Bob figures something like, “If I can just get 20 or 30 people to that page to watch the presentation surely one will buy and I’ll make some commission.”

So Bob goes to his Facebook account and posts his links on his wall.

After all, Bob has about 700 friends on Facebook so he's sure that he'll land some sales.

And maybe Bob has a Twitter account too, though he's only got about 30 followers on there because he doesn't really engage on Twitter too often.

But he figures he'll post his links to his Twitter account too and May be that will land him some business.

Bob waits a day or so and realizes that he hasn't had a single sale and


he begins to wonder what went wrong.

He decides that he's going to have to get many more people to his offers than he expected and he begins to look for ways to do this.

Perhaps Bob finds some service online that claims that they wil send him 100K visitors to his website for only $199.00, so Bob throws the $199.00 on his credit card, expecting that he will surely land a number of sales from that 100K visitors.

After all, that's 100K people looking at his offers right?

So Bob waits and waits and no sales come in.

A week goes by and Bob begins to wonder “What ever happened to that traffic that I bought?”.

He contacts the company only to be told that all of the traffic he ordered was delivered four days ago.

Bob realizes he has literally no way to verify whether anyone even visited his offers, but he is 100% sure of one thing:

He's out $199.00.

Now Bob is getting pretty frustrated by this point and he figures that he's going to need to figure out a better way to get traffic because obviously the company that he ordered the 100K visitors from is “a scam”.

So over the next few weeks Bob tries various traffic sources and buys a course or two on how to get traffic and maybe by this point Bob has spent another $400.00 on traffic, a course, and maybe a piece of software to help him automate some things.

Bob is now in the hole $599.00, but he's learning some things, and he's not a “quitter” so he convinces himself that it wil work for him if he just “keeps at it”.

He's spent about 25 hours study at this point and he's doing his best to


implement it.

And one day, “Surprise!”, Bob finds a traffic source that he knows is working and it is sending him real traffic and he can even measure it now!

Bob is excited.

Bob feels that he is “on his way!” .

So now Bob dumps more money into that traffic source and he begins to land some sales.

Wow!

Bob was beginning to wonder whether this would ever happen, and he starts thinking about how quickly he wil be able to tell his boss to “shove it”.

Bob runs ads for a few weeks and he's making sales and feeling pretty good but one day he's doing the math and he realizes that by the time he subtracts all his expenses from his gross commissions earned that he's only making about $200.00 per week.

What's he going to do?

Bob picks more products to advertise with his one workable traffic source and he spends the next 3 or 4 weeks trying to find a few more reliable traffic sources to run to his offers.

That testing eats up another $400 or so, but he finally feels that he's located another source which should work for him and he expects that this should at least double his sales and income.

He gets his new ads set up and though he's not getting the result he's hoped for yet, he is getting more traffic than he was before, so he decides to feel it out for a few days to see what happens, which costs him another $80 or so.

Now Bob has about 4 products that he's trying to sell right now, each paying about $50 in commission for each sale.


Bob thinks he doesn't really need that many sales to have a decent supplemental income, but they just aren't coming in like he would hope.

Maybe by this point Bob is making another $250.00 per week.

In truth he's selling more items and brining in, say, $600.00 per week, but he's spending $350.00 on advertising.

He's also sitting up half the night studying, trying to find the correct way to go about making it happen and he's still working a full time day job and still has children to raise.

Bob is tired and the time he's putting in is not worth the $250.00 per week.

Bob gets exhausted.

He has a bad day at work one day, has trouble with the car on the way home, and his wife is irritated with him.

He opens up his account for this affiliate sales reports and sees that he's had no sales the last 2 days.

After inspecting to see what is happening Bob realizes that the company that he is selling the products for as an affiliate has decided to not sell that product any more and they just pulled the sales page and it's not even online any more!

“Sure would have been nice if they'd have notified him.WTF?!”

Meanwhile, Bob has been paying for ads which have been running for the last two days, eating up almost $200.00 and he's made no commissions!

Bob is tired.

Bob is pissed.

Bob gets sick.

Bob's wife is nagging at him.


Bob's associates at work ask him how his new business is going and Bob is super-embarrassed and doesn't want to talk about it.

Bob decides he's only cut-out for office work, only to have a JOB the rest of his life.

It looks hopeless and he just gives up.

Poor Bob.

If only he knew a little bit more about what makes an ideal online profit model.

I've Been There Too

This sequence of events is happening for way too many people, way too often.

I am sick and tired, literally to the point of nausea sometimes, of seeing people go through this.

I've been through this.

I understand what it's like to be in that situation.

When I first started trying to create an online business my experience wasn't much different.

I stayed up until 3:00 or 4:00am while my baby-daughter was asleep.

I worked during every nap-time.

I wasted thousands and thousands of dollars on software, courses, traffic, ads, crazy things that I'm too embarrassed to even tell you about.

I've had to eat rice and beans for extended periods because my business expenses were eating up all my money.


I've been there, done that.

It's not fun.

And I continue to see good people with sincere desire to improve their situation fall victim to this type of experience.

A few years ago I was looking at this and this large group of people that I had observed over time, all of whom seemed be having the same issues, like what I described above.

And it just happened that I was looking at this one day after I had figured it all out and after I was making unbelievable money online, after I had created freedom of time for myself...

And I found myself looking at what these people were doing and thinking how absurd and ridiculous it was that they were doing it.

Didn't they know that what they were doing was going to keep them broke and they were going to end up quitting because it wasn't going to work?

Didn't they realize?

NO.

They didn't.

Then it dawned on me.

“Oh, I used to do the same stupid things as they are doing and I was broke too. Ha ha!”

See, I had to figure most of it out myself.

I didn't really have anyone at all to teach me these things in the beginning.


I want to point out to you some of the problems and solutions to you here to get you pointed in the right direction.

I want you to make it.

Again, 99% of people never figure these things out and they are so simple and they are things that wil make you go “Duh!” after you know them.

But when you don't know them you wil just keep doing the same goofy things over and over again, getting no results.

Let's look at getting real results...


Getting Results – Where Is The Money Made?

So far we've gone through some examples of “bad marketing” which are guaranteed to not get results.

One thing I haven't touched on, which is absolutely essential is the question of where the money is really made.

The idea that you are going to run ads to a page and make sales and get that commission and that's all there is to it is one of the big reasons why so many people are having trouble.

This is something I've talked about a lot with my own teams.

The fact is:

Most of the money that you'll make from your customers or your down-lines is going to be from up-sells on the back-end.

“Front-End” refers to that first offer that you make to your prospect. It's usually going to be something that relatively affordable and which has a good quality sales page that will convert visitors into sales at a predictable rate.

“Back-End” refers to up-sells.

Prospect buys Offer A for $49 and then, later in the sales funnel, they are offered something even better for, say, $250.

After they buy that $250 product they are then offered an irresistible deal on a product that should really cost about $5000, but today it's being offered for $1000, for example.

Do you see this?

Secret: That's where these companies have been making all their money after you send them the customer in exchange for your tiny front-end affiliate commission.


I don't know if many of those companies even make any profit on the front-end by the time they pay your affiliate commission.

I suspect they don't.

Many of them don't pay anything on the back end.

They just use affiliates to generate traffic and it's worth it to them to pay you a front-end commission in order to get all those customers that they can sell to for years to come.

For myself, the bulk of my income comes from back-end up-sells.

The front-end is really just used to pay for advertising and to build the mailing list.

Now we're getting into something known as a “Funded Proposal”.

Basically, all that a Funded Proposal is, is a front-end offer which converts at a decent enough rate so that the money generated by that front-end offer wil cover all your advertising expenses, or close to it anyway.

So you're ads are paid for, you sold some product but in the end, if you broke even that's totally fine.

Why?

Because you just built up your mailing list by another 1000 subscribers, for example.

Now you can sell to those people for months or years to come.

And a certain percentage of those new subscribers wil buy your back-end up-sell right away.

In my opinion any “good” online business model would have a number of up-sells and would pay you for those up-sells, as well as the front-end sales.


In this fashion you can theoretically just pay for advertising, sit back and watch your list grow and let your automated follow-up system do it's job in conjunction with the up-sells offered by that company.

In the end, most of your income will result from those back end upsells.

Do you see how this is very different from how most newbies try to go about it?

I swear, 99.99% of you are trying to hammer your prospects over the head with the same front-end product, over and over.

You've got all your eggs in one basket and it's just not working for you, and you know it.

Recall our example from earlier in this eBook about “Bob”?

Bob was only working with one front-end offer.

And he couldn't get enough money out of it to make it go right.

Why?

No back-end up-sells.

No high-ticket products to offer.

Bob never realized that all he had was his Funded Proposal and he just barely made enough to cover his advertising costs.

Bob wasn't doing that badly.

He may have actually covered his advertising costs with that one front-end offer if he'd have stuck with it and found another decent offer.

Bob just didn't realize that he only had 10% of his equation in place.

He was trying to build his business out of his Funded Proposal.


Well,

“Duh!”, no wonder Bob couldn't make it work.

No one who understands marketing would have been trying to do what Bob was doing.

They would have run that one front-end offer to cover ad costs and build their customer base and then on the back end they would make their real offers.

And that is where the customers would get the most value by far and that is where the ustomers would spend the most money and the company would make the most profit.

It seems stupid-simple to those who've been doing it a while, but for a new, aspiring internet marketer, it's not something that you would even think about.

I know people who spend $250K per month on advertising in order to make $300K gross.

You'd say, “What?! They spend $250K per month on ads?! ”

Yes, and they come out with $50K per month in profit.

The front-end offer that they make doesn't even cover their ad costs, but they make so much on the back-end up-sells that it doesn't matter.

Some days are better than others.

It's not a totally even keel.

But when all is said and done, as long as your bottom-line comes out where you want it, that is what is important, right?

This is a big secret actually, bigger that you might expect.

Almost every single person I've observed getting into internet business


for the first time does not know or apply this Funded Proposal concept properly.

They just try to sell that one thing and they end up like “Bob”... nowhere.

According to my own observations, it is necessary to have high-ticket products on the back end.

These will generate the most of the income.

To not have this model in place is almost guaranteeing that you will not be able to generate sufficient income to free yourself from a job and it almost guarantees that you wil not make it long term.

In today's market environment I just do not see how it is possible to make it any other way, unless you want to sit on the phone or on your computer 12 hours per day, doing sales or SEO, or personal networking.

Now, that is fine if that's what you want to do, but you won't get free doing that.

You will simply be a slave to your business instead to your current boss.

We'll get into this deeper when we get into Licensing but for now I want you to think about this:

Would it be easier to make ten $5000 sales, or five-thousand $10 sales?

10 X $5000 = $50,000

or

5000 X $10 = $50,000?

Some of you are thinking it would be easier to make the $10 sales than it would to make the $5000 sales, am I right?

Guess what...

You're wrong.


Sure, it's easier to make one $10 sale than it is to make one $5000 sale, but that's not what we're talking about.

It is far easier to make 10 high-ticket sales than it is to make 5000 low-cost sales.

It's 500X less sales to be closed.

Now here's a curve for you...

How about you make three-hundred $10 sales AND ten $5000 sales?

What does that give you?

If you said, “My Funded Proposal AND $50K in profit!” , you're correct!

And if you are seeing the truth of what I'm covering here, you may just be on your way to greatness.

After all, I've already given you enough knowledge to keep you from wasting all your money and going out of business within the first month.

“On to Licensing...”


3. Licensing

This is by far my favorite online business model, or off-line business model for that matter, because it completely handles all the barriers posed by the other 2 models-- affiliate marketing and creating your own products.

Licensing is when you buy a “license” from an established brand in order to establish your own business ownership while at the same time taking advantage of that brand's position, authority, products, systems, proven marketing, etc.

I think you'll agree that there are definite difficulties presented by the other two models that we've covered.

If we add into the mix the fact that we must have a high-ticket back-end offer if we want to have a sustainable business model—an ideal online profit model—this gives us yet more problems.

As an Affiliate, you have no control at all over the back-end sales process and most of the time you don't make any money from it anyway.

The majority of the big-money earners all have their own products and they keep all the money.

But for someone like you, not only would you have to come up with one product to sell in order to achieve an ideal business model, you would have to come up with several.

And at least one of those products would need to be so stellar and of such high value that you could put a high price on it.

That could take you forever to create, even if you did have expertise enough to create your own products.


Licensing (Franchising) combines the best parts of Affiliate Marketing and of Owning Your Own Product into a model that removes all the negatives.

Let's look at a practical example of licensing:

Let's say you wanted to open a sandwich shop in your town.

You could get the money together and buy the building or lease it, buy

the equipment, insurance, stock, tables, chairs, and 500 other things...

Then once you're in business you'l have to build up a customer list, essentially making your presence in the neighborhood known and convincing people to come to your sandwich shop.

You'd have to work out all the recipes and tweak them and test them and tweak them... to get to the point where you have product quality that is good enough that people would keep coming back for that sandwich, or that environment, etc.

See, it's not the just the food, it's the location, the drinks, the style of the restaurant, the uniforms, and so forth.

You would have to work out how you are going to advertise.

You'd have to create the ads from scratch and test them and tweak them and find places to advertise and if they didn't perform you'd have to redo them over and over and over until they were getting the results you wanted, etc.

You'd have to research employment laws and tax withholding and restaurant codes for health inspectors, etc., all on your own.

It would be a lot of work and most of it would involve you “experimenting” to see what does work, because you don't even know yet.

It's a lot of work.


You could go through all of that...

Or, you could just buy a Subway franchise.

(This is just an example. I'm not affiliated with Subway, thought I do eat there sometimes.)

They have already done all that work for you.

All the products are done and organized.

The uniforms, the tables, the chairs, the outlay of the store, the specifics of what locations are acceptable, the costs of all the food and labor and expected returns, the advertising is all done for you 24/7, with “Jared” sending new customers into your business all day long.

Your suppliers are already figured out for the best prices and quality.

The assembly-line is already established and you can just step in to the fastest sub-making operation possible.

All the forms and paper work

are already made for your business operations and so forth.

Are you getting the point yet?

Subway franchises are not cheap, but by the time you factor in all the work and time and frustration and experimenting that it saves you to just step into a proven franchise model, it's way smarter and way cheaper to just go with the franchise.

All you have to do is buy the license and step into the boots that have already been designed for your ready-made profit-machine.

Frankly, it would be foolish to start from scratch when you can just plug in to an established, proven business model where most of the work is done for you.

Realize though, these are your customers.


Sure they are coming to Subway, but you are the Licensee--the Franchisee.

The money is going into your pocket and every time that customer comes back that is your business.

Licensing Is The Easy Way To Go

With a Licensing model your up-sells are built right in and they have already been proven to work.

That's why there are around 35,000 Subways!

“Do you want to add chips and a drink to that?”, for example, is your proven up-sell, and repeat business is almost assured.

And you know what?

They might make 12% on the sandwich, but they make 96% on the soda.

All your ads , systems and everything else that you need to be successful is already there for you.

All you have to do is become a Licensee and get to work.

And it is work.

You might even have to work all day every day until you can afford to hire some kids to build sandwiches.

But all the hard stuff has been done for you.

There is no guess-work.

The company that you bought the franchise from also has a strong interest in your success.

They don't make money unless you make money.

That is what your franchise fees go toward.


That is why they sold you the franchise and that is why they provide you exact “how-to”s on everything they do so that you can plug in to their systems.

That is why they have coaches to help you get set up and to provide ongoing help and advice.

They want your store to be successful.

Now which do you think is the smarter way to make money?:

1. Send your friends and family in to Subway so that you can earn $0.50 for the first foot-long sub that they buy, and nothing on any subsequent purchases?

Or...

2. Plug in and get the license and sell to your customers over and over and over for years to come, keeping all the profit for yourself?

Obviously #2 is the way to go.

Do you see how this saves you countless hours and years of experimenting and suffering and being broke?

Licensing is hands-down my favorite business model.

Around 80% of franchises succeed.

See, they wouldn't be franchises unless what they were doing had already been proven.

But around 85% of non-franchise businesses fail.

I'd say around 97% of online businesses fail.

Now let's look at applying this to your own ideal online business model.


You can do all that work yourself or you can plug into an already-proven License model.

It’s Your Business And You Keep All The Customers…

With licensing all the customers you bring in are yours, giving you full advantage of the back-end profits.

Should the company sell something in the future you receive commission for it.

Do you recall earlier when we talked about how most of the money is made after the first sale?

As a licensee you get full advantage of customer ownership and you get paid on all purchases made instead of just on the front-end.

One of the companies I am licensed with in my business offers 4 awesome entry points to become a license called Pro , Silver , Gold And Black Licensee Levels and Enables me to earn upto $125, $625 , $1625 and $5125..

So Imagine this :

All I do is send traffic to company sales materials and see $125 , $625 , $1625 and $5125 commissions roll in my inbox without having the headache of creating my own products or worrying about little tiny commissions of less than $100 and worrying about how to pay my next bill…….

Do you see how powerful that is?

As a normal affiliate I would have easily left over $1000’s of dollar which are there to be taken as I would not be making anything on the backend…

Keep in mind that real businesses are built on repeat customers that buy over and over again.

If you are spending money to get customers that you'll never see again , be assured that you’re going to be broke.

But, that is exactly what most affiliate marketers do, and most of the time they will spend more than they actually make.

Even if a typical affiliate does manage to come out ahead for that one offer he's still way behind because he does not own the customer and he is missing out potential ton of future sales.

Now let me share with you a little bit about the licensing system which I recommend and which has made me over $300k in last few months alone…

Again, if you wanted to make $100,000 do you think it would be easier to sell 10,000 eBooks at $10 each, or 10 Mastermind Seminars at $10,000 each?

10 versus 10,000.

This really is one of the biggest secrets in the internet marketing industry.

Now, it's not really a secret.

I mean, it's not hidden, but hardly anyone does it and the ones that do are the ones making most of the money online.

What you see is $81,032 In Earnings In last 30 days alone and I did this working 2 hours a day sending traffic to Ipas 2 Funnels and they did all the selling for me and made me earn multiple commissions in the range of $225 , $1825 and $4825 adding up to $81,032……

I want you to imagine for a minute how your life would look like if you start making even 10 percent of this income extra and then have a long hard look at this screenshot…..


It might take 3 or 4, maybe even 5X more work to sell ten high-ticket products than it would to sell the $10 product, but it sure isn't going to take 10,000X more effort! In fact, it's actually much easier to create profit this way.

Remember you're interested in your bottom-line—how much profit do you have at the end of the month—not in total # of sales made.

If all you were interested in was making a lot of sales, you could sell a $1 product, sell a ton of them and be broke.

And keep in mind that this is a licensing model which means that it comes with all the successful systems and promotional material and so forth which has been proven to work.

The licensee gets 100 percent of the commissions even though the phone team does most of the work.
