MUSICAL LEGENDSBahamian music waspopular during the 80s and I wanted to paytribute to some female legends. This watercolorpainting shows at the forefront Bahamian song-bird Eloise Lewis as well as singer PriscillaRollins, classical pianist Meta Cumberbatch, and Doris Johnson. I used a dry brush tech-nique for this and was inspired by CharlesWhite to write the names in the painting as well.

ITS A BLUE DAYI love jazz and bluesmusic. Musicians and singers have alwaysbeen an inspiration to me as subject matterfor my paintings.

WOODEN SCULPTUREThesesculpture are made from many lay-

ers of plywood that I first glue to-

gether securely then cut into shape

with a chainsaw. I am very safety

    conscious when using this tool!

SAVE WE TINGSI produced thiswoodcut a couple of years ago to pro-mote awareness of our many indige-nous animals and plants that we shouldbe preserving and protecting for futuregenerations. After printing it in black Iadded color with acrylic paints to make it

    more distinguishable.
