GENESIS 11:27-32“27 This is the genealogy of Terah: Terah begot Abram, Nahor, and Haran. Haran begot Lot.28 And Haran died before his father Terah in his native land, in Ur of the Chaldeans.29 Then Abram and Nahor took wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran the father of Milcah and the father of Iscah.30 But Sarai was barren; she had no child.31 And Terah took his son Abram and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, his son Abram's wife, and they went out with them from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to the land of Canaan; and they came to Haran and dwelt there.32 So the days of Terah were two hundred and five years, and Terah died in Haran.”

GENESIS 11:1-51 Now the LORD had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you.2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."4 ¶ So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.5 Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother's son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan.

“1 Now the whole earth had one language and few words.2 And as men migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there.3 And they said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly." And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar.”

“4 Then they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth."5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the sons of men had built.6 And the LORD said, "Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language; and this is only the beginning of what they will do; and nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.7 Come, let us go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech."8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city..”

THE INSTRUCTION OF JESUS CHRIST

ACTS 1:6-8“6 So when they had come together, they asked him, "Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?"7 He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority.8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth.”

MAN’S LOVE OF COMFORT ZONES IN THE NEW TESTAMENT

THE DISCIPLES SETTLED IN JERUSALEM ACTS 8: 1-8

“ And Saul was consenting to his death. And on that day a great persecution arose against the church in Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the region of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.2 Devout men buried Stephen, and made great lamentation over him.3 But Saul was ravaging the church, and entering house after house, he dragged off men and women and committed them to prison.4 Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word.5 Philip went down to a city of Samaria, and proclaimed to them the Christ.6 And the multitudes with one accord gave heed to what was said by Philip, when they heard him and saw the signs which he did.7 For unclean spirits came out of many who were possessed, crying with a loud voice; and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed.8 So there was much joy in that city..”
