DOMINO SERIES CONSUMER UNITSSURFACE MOUNTING VERSION -IP40

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The DOMINO Series in its IP40 surface mountingversion includes 8 enclosures which respectively take2/4 - 4 - 8 - 12 - 18 - 24 - 36 - 54 DIN modules.The units and their covers are made of self-extinguishing thermoplastic material and are resistantto abnormal heat and fire up to 650°C (IEC695-2-1glow-wire test). They are coloured RAL7035 grey andRAL9003 white.The product material is resistant to chemical andweathering agents and highly resistant to UV rays. TheIP40 DOMINO Series surface mounting consumer unitsare available without a window, or with apolycarbonate tinted window. They are designed insuch a way that they are easy to wire tidily because thewires can be put beside the switches and under theDIN rail. In addition, it is possible to install 53 or 68 mmhigh switches and 98 mm high moulded-case circuitbreakers (18-36 and 54 DIN modules). The window is reversible and can be opened from bothsides. The DOMINO Series conforms to the Internationalstandard IEC 670 and the Italian standard CEI 23-49.

STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS

- Surface mounted with screws and fixing plugs oroptional external brackets

- Support frame for DIN rails that can be taken off foreasier wiring, (only for 36 and 54 DIN) and fixed tothe base with plastic screws a quarter-turn in plasticmaterial.

- The upper and lower walls of the base can be takenoff (not for 2/4, 4 and 8 DIN) to make holes toconnect conduit or trunking in a comfortableworking position.

- The removable, upper or lower walls can be simplyinstalled, for joining consumer units vertically

- Option of putting in the cables from behind, usingcut-outs at the bottom of the base

- Side cut-outs for side-by-side connection of otherDOMINO consumer units using horizontal couplers

- Captive thermoplastic 1/4 -turn locking devices forclosing the cover

- Drilling template on the back of the consumer unit- DIN rail positioned to allow for placement of 53 and

68 mm high switches; in the 18-36-54 DIN versions itis possible to install 125A moulded-case circuitbreakers

- Ample space to the side and under the DIN rails forcabling

- Distance between the rails: 150 mm- Tinted window that can be opened to a maximum

angle of 180° both left and right, with triangular keylock (yale key optional)

- Snap-closing window

VERSIONS

All the DOMINO Series consumer units in the IP40surface mounting versions are modular. Usingappropriate couplers, it is easy to connect theconsumer units together. The number of DIN modulesfor each row defines the possible options:- Consumer units with rows that are multiples of 12

DIN (12 and 24 DIN) can be easily connected with theappropriate 12 DIN couplers;

- Consumer units with rows that are multiples of 18DIN (18, 36 and 54 DIN) can be connected using the 18DIN couplers

consumer units in 1 row, 95 mm for units in 2 or morerows)

- Walls with cut-outs on all sides allow joining ofadditional consumer units using flush mountingcouplers

- Option of putting the cables in from behind, usingcut-outs in the bottom of the base

- Captive thermoplastic 1/4 -turn locking devices forclosing the cover

- DIN rail positioned to allow for placement of 53 and 68mm high switches; in the 24-36-54 DIN versions it ispossible to install 125A moulded-case circuit breakers

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The DOMINO Series IP40 flush mounting consumerunits comprise 7 enclosures that accomodate4 - 8- 12 - 18 - 24 - 36 - 54 DIN modules.The units and their covers are made of self-extinguishing, thermoplastic material and RAL 9003white and are resistant to abnormal heat and fire upto 650°C (IEC695-2-1 glow-wire test). The productmaterial is resistant to chemical and weatheringagents and highly resistant to UV rays. The DOMINOSeries flush mounting consumer units IP40 areavailable with a polycarbonate tinted window. Theirdesign makes for easy and tidy wiring as the cablescan be placed under the DIN rail.In addition, 53 and 68 mm high switches can beinstalled and 98 mm high moulded-case circuit breakers(where there are 24 or more modules). The window isreversible and can be opened from both sides.The DOMINO Series conforms to the Internationalstandard IEC 60670 and the Italian standard CEI 23-49.

VERSIONS

The DOMINO Series flush Mounting IP40 ischaracterized by modular elements. With theappropriate coupler, flush mounting units can bejoined horizontally or vertically. The coupler, whichstays embedded under the wall surface, aligns theunits correctly under the wall surface (in terms ofdistance and alignment) and makes it easy pass thewires from one consumer unit to another. Thediagram illustrates the different possibilities.
