Presents DOING ANGER DIFFERENTLY An Anger Management Training Program By Dr Michael Currie B Mus (Hon), B Sc (Hon) PhD MAPS Training for professionals working with adolescents or men struggling to manage their anger 22 nd , 23 rd & 24 th September – 75 Canning Highway, Victoria park, 9.30am – 3.30pm This 3 day training is the winner of the 2004 National Crime Prevention Award The training focuses on illustrating techniques by example, outlines how to use group dynamics to lessen aggression, shows how to modify discussions about aggression according to a participant’s own level of understanding about his difficulties, and sets out the theory of how to use percussion (drumming) as an engagement tool for people with anger problems. The training for Doing Anger Differently is made up of three components; Theory, Practical Drumming exercises (and their discussion) and Case examples (and their discussion). The three-day training is designed to allow adaptation of all or part of the programme into participants’ existing approaches.
