> There’s more to air than meets the eyeHeat pumps of the SmartHeat aero series tap into a natural heat source that is simply eve-rywhere and full of energy: the air surround-ing us. SmartHeat aero air/water heat pumps allow for cost-effective heating during the winter time and hot water preparation all year round. Where required, they can be upgraded for cooling operation in the summer. In cont-rast to other heat pump types, the installation costs for air/water heat pumps are relatively low. In addition, they require no additional building structures or permits.

> Simple process – great effectAir/water heat pumps collect the heat contai-ned in the ambient air. This is done by means of specially coated evaporator fins that trans-fer the heat to the existing heating and/or hot water circuit. > Efficient and modernSmartHeat aero air/water heat pumps cover a capacity range of 2 to 150 kW.They are suitable for new houses as well as re-trofitting in existing buildings. Thanks to the use of the latest fan and compressor techno-logy, these units offer excellent COPs and ve-ry low operating noise levels. The SmartHeat aero brings together nature and advanced technology. They are equipped with efficient scroll or rotary compressors and generously dimensioned heat exchangers, offering COPs up to 5.85. For the power range up to 28 kW, the aero is available as an inverter-controlled heat pump. This technology guarantees op-timum output adjustment based on the

actual demand – even as outdoor temperatu-res change. It is therefore possible to run the system for hot water preparation even during the summer months. For larger power ranges from 50 kW, the units are equipped with high-efficiency scroll compressors with multi-stage output adjustment.

> Tapping into warm airIn large buildings, the exhaust air from ventila-tion systems provides an ideal energy source. Systems that tap into this air flow are parti-cularly efficient, as its temperature remains relatively stable even during the cold season, significantly increasing the COP of the heat pump.

> Large scale solutions - aero 050 & and higherIn many commercial and industrial premises, most of the energy is used to heat the office space and the production halls and to produ-ce hot water. Some companies also require process heat for their production. Where this is done with outdated heating systems, heat pump solutions can greatly reduce the opera-ting costs. It is thereby not always necessary to replace the entire heating system. The costs for the installation of an additional SmartHeat aero heat pump are normally set off within a reasonably short period. Large scale heat pumps are becoming increasingly popular and can already be found in many industrial buil-dings, hospitals and office blocks. The Smart-Heat aero air/water heat pump range from
