Learn how to fix your bed for a good night sleep

For most of us, bedroom is our sanctuary – a silent escape from the hassle of hectic lifestyle.

• Sleeping has numerous benefits to our body including better health, less pain and enhanced immune system.

• Sleeping has also been proven to sharpen memory and increase learning skills.

• Not only that, having a good sleep can reduce signs of skin aging as well as other health risks.

When we are sleeping, most of the times, we dream. Facts about sleep and dreams suggest that less sleep means more dreams.

• It is important to remember not to eat heavy meals two-three hours before sleeping.

• Avoid caffeine intake at least six hours before bedtime.

• Study suggests that having a comfortable bed and mattress can help you get high quality of sleep.

Now, let yourself indulge in a good quality and sound sleep by getting your bed arranged. Here’s how:

1. Clear Your Bed

• Clear your bed from clutters: take off pillows, stuffed toys as well as bedcovers and comforters

• Take off duvet/blanket, sheets and pillows and set them all aside

2. Put on fitted sheet

3. Put the top sheet on

• Put on the fitted sheet on top of your bed.

• Tuck the sheet tightly around the corners of the mattress • Next, put the top

sheet on; spread it over the bottom sheet.

• Make sure the top sheet is spread evenly over the mattress

5. Put the duvet or comforter on top

• Fold the end of the top sheet tightly under the mattress

• Next, place your duvets or comforter on top of your hospital-cornered sheets

• Spread the duvet evenly over the bed

7. Fluff the pillows

• Take the edge of the top sheet at the head of the bed and neatly fold it back over the top edge of the duvet, blanket or comforter • Now, since we’re

done with the sheets, take your pillow and carefully fluff them.

• Place them on top of your bed. Stack them directly on top of the other

8. Add your personal touches

• Lastly, to complete your work, add finishing touches of your personal choice. You can add decorative cushions or pillows

• You can also place your favorite stuffed toy or quilt on top of it. Place it in an upright position.

• Now that you have everything fixed and organized, you have to maintain and make your bed everyday.

• Wash your sheets once or twice a week to avoid allergies

• Use mattress pads to protect your mattress from getting dirty
