DESCRIPTION

Diversity is about variety. It is many different things thatcombine to create a whole. As Americans, we’ve becomeaccustomed to the term “melting pot” to describe ourcombined differences, but a melting pot means assimilatingto become one when, really, it’s about integrating to becomeone. In fact, some people now use a stew or salad metaphorinstead.1 Like stews and salads, diversity in business is aboutincluding different kinds of people (call them ingredients) tocontribute to the overall brand, image and spirit of the organization.
