This graph depicts the rate of improvement for more than 2,000 people in weekly psychotherapy and for 500 people who received no treatment. As you can see, after only 8 weekly sessions, better than 50% of people receiving psychotherapy were significantly improved. Clearly, psychotherapy accelerates both the rate and degree of improvement.
