Description of Programs & Services: We offer preparatory (pre-Grade 12) courses in Math and English to provide students with the background and experience needed to be successful in the Grade 12 courses. After the Prep courses, our major focus is on Essential Math 40S or Applied Math 40S and three different English 40S courses. We also offer a good cross-section of optional Grade 12 courses: Law, Global Issues, Automated Office, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Art, Psychology and Life Work Transition. Physical Education, Community Service and Cultural Exploration are offered on an independent basis. We are able to offer courses that allow our adult learners to move on to post-secondary institutions with the expected pre-requisite courses. The Seven Oaks ALC is set up to deliver a flexible and comprehensive program, designed to meet the expectations of our students. Three different time slots daily, 9 and 18 week courses, and the available support of the Infant/Toddler lab, all help our clients in reaching their academic goals. An Educational Plan is completed during registration, allowing for the discussion and planning of a program that meets the academic and personal needs of our adult learners. Fridays, when there are no classes offered, the Centre is open for students to work on assignments, use computers to complete final copies of work or for workshops and presentations.
