Dilemma - Eyeglasses or Contact Lenses A Few days ago I went to see an eye doctor because my eye sight had gotten worse compared to before. I really don’t like going to hospitals because of the antiseptic smell there and because of long lines of waiting! But without a choice, to be able to see better, I dragged my heavy body all the way to a hospital nearby my place. My eye doctor checked my eyes with this fancy looking machine and told me to read the letters on the board from right to left, top to bottom. I tried my best to read out all the letters but unfortunately, I couldn’t see anything! It was as if though I was slowly losing my ability to see! The doctor asked me if I am currently wearing any glasses. I told him yes and I took out the pair of glasses I had with me for quite a while. It was a FENDI 718 001 that I bought off from the internet. I really love these glasses! They are very simple but yet very comfortable to wear. It has helped me a lot when reading books and it is a life savior especially when I am driving. It really looks great on me and I just hated the fact that I needed a pair of new ones! The doctor gave me a choice! He said I would be able to choose whether to get a new pair of glasses or just change the lenses of the existing glasses. I was in a dilemma. On one hand, I really hated the fact of not being able to use the current ones and on the other hand, I was really curious about how the contact lenses work! So I said to myself. Why not try something new just for the sake of it. So I made a decision. I told my doctor that instead of buying new glasses, or changing the lenses of the existing ones, I would want to get new contact lenses! The doctor himself said what a great idea! For the first time in my life, I got a chance to wear contact lenses! The ones that he recommended were ACUVUE OASYS. I tried it on for the first time and guess what? I could see better like never before. It was as if though I got a brand new pair of eyes from someone! It was a great feeling! ACUVUE OASYS contact lenses are so comfortable and easy to use. Of course it costs money to purchase the solution water but as I experienced it for myself, it is much more comfortable compared to wearing glasses. I don’t have to worry about getting hit in the face by a ball when playing sports and I don’t have to clean it often because dust won’t get on it! Wearing glasses for a long time can get uncomfortable sometimes but for contact lenses, it seems new and fresh at all times!
