Roman Empire apart from any empire and makes it one.

Also you will find many accomplishments that Rome has obtained and how they obtained

How It all Started

A myth tells that two brothers Romulus and Remus they were left to die by the Tiber river and were saved by a she-wolf who found them and cared for them, When they were older Romulus killed Remus and named the city after himself.

Relgion

The Romans adopted many Greek Gods they also created many of there own Gods along the years. In Rome they created many shrines and temples in the city. They have many holidays and celebrations for there Gods.

Technology

The Romans built a system to transport water from one place to another, this system were called aqueducts, also they had an underground tunnels to take waste water of the city. Aqueducts were like bridges that channeled water using gravity to bring it from one place to another and they used a screw to get the water to a higher altitude where the aqueducts stated.

Stable Food Supply

Only the rich had kitchens the poor depended on small grills or “fast food” places called the rmonplia. That is where you can get hot or cold food to eat. A lot of rich people at there too. Some favorite foods were bread, beans, spices, few vegetables, cheeses, and meats. There favorite drinks were water and hot water with herbs and honey (tea).

Government

Romans believed in the rule of law, senate, and assemblies were important. An emperor ruled them who made laws very strict because there where a lot of crimes in Rome.

Social Structure

The poor were often given harsher punishments than the rich. Roman men were expected to provide for there family. In rich families men usually held well paid political positions if a father did not approve of a new born the baby was left outside to die or become a slave.

Arts

The Greek influenced everything on Roman sculpting and painting. They did lots of pottery designs. They used dark colors with paint which were made from mud. It was made because they wanted to impress leaders and warriors.

Writing

The Roman writing was also influenced by the Greek they used the capitol letters like the Greek did when writing also some artist where influenced by writing poetry from the Greek. Now in Rome there are stories written.

Did Rome Start a New?

No, Rome grew from a very small civilization called Rome this settlement was founded Ramulos and Remus. In the Italian peninsula.

Did Rome have Strong Leaders?

Ramous and Remus were very strong leaders that lead Rome from a thought to a small civilization. That grew into a prosperous empire called Rome. Also Rome had its most powerful leader Julius Caesar, who fell during a meeting. Rome also had such large armies that they conquered many places and won many bloody battles.

Rome’s Social Groups

Rome had many people with their own class in the whole empire. There were slaves who fought to the death in the coliseum while people watched and cheered during the battles. Also they were very organized in many different ways from the battle formations to the average person’s meal.

Roads

Romans built many roads to march on to a battle and to use to connect people together. This was because of one big reason, Romans did not like to sail but rather march but foot to their destination. So because of this big reason Romans built roads. Also they built every road they built from another place would go to Rome.

Christianity

In Rome a religion was founded called Christianity. This religion was practiced by so many people that Romans started killing and imprisoning those who practiced Christianity. Eventuality Romans stopped and the religion grew to be the most largely practiced religion in the world to this current day.

The Fall of Rome

Rome fell when their greatest leader Julius Caesar was cut down during a meeting. This was because there was a conflict between two power hungry men over control of an area.

Empire

Now you see that Rome was a mighty and powerful EMPIRE and not and tiny little Civization that had very little power and impact on the world. By learning about the older groups of people, people can make better dictions in the future. Also you can see all the benefits that people don’t realize in our towns, just look at the pillars that supports the house’s weight. It is a cylinder which is proven to be one of the strongest shapes in the world.
