The village Bamanua, which struggles every year with terrible flood problem, is very backward and poor due to lack of proper approach roads in whole village. The much serious problem in this regard was between Bamanua and Khajua (a hamlet of Bamanua). The path (1.5 km.) between these two villages is permanently damaged due to flood water, carelessness of community and negligence of panchayat. Maximum students are enrolled from this village in our S.B.S. and often they suffer with this problem along with other villagers too. Therefore this year we decided to remove this problem under the D.F.C. Campaign with the title “Path To Success (Aao Chalen School)” so that an example may be set before the community of self effort.

•.Proper approach roads are always seem as the life line for any village or town.• In the same way our school also suffers with this problem as maximum students especially the small children every now and then miss the school.• Along with it their parents also often miss the P.T.M. & other school programmes.• On account of it, the learning level of this village’s students is also very low.• Observing the fact that no any step can be taken by community or panchayat for the building of this road, we decided to follow the principle of “learning by doing”•We decided to aware the community by putting before them an example of building of this road by our own hands.

@ To aware the people in limited time of one week, we decided to organize rallies, role plays, door to door support campaign by using hand made posters, hand bills, banners and self prepared slogans.@ We decided to involve Govt. Minister, Gram Panchayat and social activists too in this campaign.@ We also decided to involve each and every villager in our campaign.

@ Panchayat and community will be our main focus area.

# Ralley was our first step, in which enthusiastic students of Satya Bharti were spreading awareness through banners, hand outs and slogans like, “ Mushkil door bhagani hai, Nai sadak banani hai”, ” Banao sadak, chalo bedhadak”, “ Banega raasta, Hoga safalta se vasta” etc.# Students were distributing hand bills among the villagers during rally having the benefits of roads development in their village. # During the railly they were also approaching each & every door and people of the village to involve them in the campaign.# Sticking of hand made posters on the walls of village was our second step.

We formed a committee of villagers at Panchayat Bhawan to support our campaign. We held a meeting of Gram Panchayat and Gram Sabha on the Choupal of the village under the presidentship of Gram Pradhan. Proposal of road building between Bamanua and Khajua was presented in the meeting. After some discussions it was passed by all members in written, keeping its benefit in their mind. Seeing the effort of us, some volunteers also came out to held a meeting with Hon. Minister of U.P. State Mr. Avadhesh Verma.

• The most important achievement of our campaign was the meeting with State Minister at our school in which we gave him an application in this regard. He assured us that he will do his best for it as soon as possible.• But as we have very little time of one week, so we did not want to wait for his promise.• Hence we decided to build the road by our own hands with the help of community. •Some influencive people of the village arranged two hume pipes for proper drainage system of flood water.

# Certainly the above steps were very helpful to achieve our target of awareness, but the main task was to maintain its continuity. For it we formed a committee of villagers along with some students and teacher of Satya Bharti too. The committee will have to observe time to time the progress of other roads of the village especially during rainy season. # Gram Pradhan has assured us that from next month formation of all roads of the village will be start. # Along with above steps our team is full of zeal and enthusiasm because now in the village, each and every person has been appreciating this efforts of Satya Bharti School.# Outstanding Achievement: Impressed by the efforts of students Hon. Minister Mr. Avdhesh Verma has passed a pitch road from Lucknow – Barelly highway to Bamanua which is approx 3 km.
