Content: Design thinking is the series of steps taken that allow students to come up with a solution to a problem. Often in design thinking the solution involves designing a product that meets certain criteria and/or accomplishes a certain task. Students define the problem, do background research, specify requirements, brainstorm solutions, choose the best solution, do development work, build a prototype, then test and redesign. Embrace and encourage student creativity and foster a climate of innovation through this engaging workshop. Design thinking through a launch cycle will be modeled during the workshop and participants will learn how to create their own individualized action plan. Create an authentic learning experience that will allow your students to take ownership of their own learning.
