James SandersJames Sanders is the Director of Innovation for EdTechTeam and founder of Future Ready Schools. Previously, James served as a Presidential Innovation Fellow at the White House working on education open data initiatives. He was the founder of the White House Film Festival (showcasing technology in education) and helped develop the President’s postsecondary education agenda.

Before the White House, James oversaw innovation for KIPP Schools in the San Francisco Bay Area where he managed the region’s blended learning and technology integration initiatives.

Kate Petty

Kate Petty left the secondary English classroom last year to serve as an EdTech TOSA for her district as they deploy a 1:1 Chromebook program. She is a Google Certi�ed Teacher, Google Education Trainer, and a CUE Lead Learner, Project-Based Learning (PBL) certi�ed and a Microsoft Innovative Educator Trainer.

Kate is a past CUE Blog Editor and OCCUE board member. She received CUE's LeRoy Finkel Fellowship in 2013 to pursue her work with the 20% Project and 20 Time in the classroom.

Spotlight Speaker:  Jay Atwood 

Jay is the High School Educational Technology Coordinator at Singapore  American School where he is responsible for leading ed tech planning, professional learning, and 

 technology integration with the goal of improved student  learning. He's a Google Certi�ed Teacher, Google  Education  Trainer,  a  Lead  Learner  at Google Teacher Academies in AsiaPaci�c, Australia, Europe and the US, an Apple Foundations Trainer and a Common Sense Digital Citizenship Certi�ed Educator.

Spotlight Speaker:  Tracy Purdy 

Tracy  Purdy  has  twelve  years of  experience  teaching  both fourth and sixth grade classes in  Colorado  and  Minnesota respectively.  During  her tenure  with  Edina  Public Schools  (Minnesota),  Ms. Purdy  has  implemented  her district’s  �rst  one-to-one Chromebook classroom.  Ms.  Purdy  has  her  B.A.  and M.A. in elementary education and is also a Google Certi�ed Teacher.

Kyle  Pace  champions  to  support  teaching  and  learning  with meaningful  technology  integration  using  a  multitude  of educational technologies. Kyle has worked with K12 teachers in  his  current  school  district  to  provide  instructional technology  professional  development  for  the  last  10  years with 4 years prior to that teaching elementary school. Kyle has spoken  at  education  conferences  such  as  ASCD,  Learning Forward,  ISTE,  FETC,  and  Educon.  Kyle  also  has  presented virtually for the Simple K12 Teacher Learning Community, The Reform Symposium online conference, and Education Week.

In  July  2011,  Kyle  was  chosen  to  participate  in  the  Google Teacher Academy in Seattle, Washington to become a Google Certi�ed Teacher.  In January 2013, Kyle was named as one of Education Week’s 2013 Leaders to Learn From and joined the other  honorees  in  April  2013  in Washington,  D.C.  to  receive special recognition from Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan. In  May  2013,  Kyle  was  chosen  to  join  ASCD’s  2013  Class  of Emerging Leaders.

Kevin  Brookhouser  is  the  author  of T he  20time  Project:  How educators  can  launch  Google’s  formula  for  futureready innovation.  He  teaches  computer  science  and  digital citizenship at York School in Monterey, California. He is a Google Certi�ed  Teacher,  Google  Apps  for  EDU  Certi�ed  Trainer, National  Association  of  Independent  Schools  Teacher  of  the Future, and University of California Certi�ed Integrated Course Developer.

When  not  in  the  classroom,  Kevin  trains  teachers  and administrators around the United States to e�ectively employ technology in the classroom

Kim  Randall,  a  native  Californian,  is  a  professional  development specialist  and  an  independent  consultant,  globetrotting  around the  country  (and  world)  providing  engaging  and  relevant professional development for educators and students. Her current clients  include  EdTechTeam,  Discovery  Education,  Foothill College/Krause Center for Innovation, and CUE.Kim has presented at several state and local conferences, including Colorado TIE, ASTE,  ITSC, and CUE. She  is  thrilled to be a Google Certi�ed Teacher,  Google  Apps  Certi�ed Trainer,  STAR  Discovery Educator, and an Apple Distinguished Educator.

DETBC 2015 will also feature an exciting and dynamic venue of several of the industry’s leading manufacturers and suppliers – each featuring the hottest technologies that can be used in the classroom, school or districts! The DETBC will feature thought leaders who will be sharing lessons learned and giving one-on-one tips and pointers for creating these programs in classrooms and schools. Technologist and Innovators who have a passion and desire to see our schools and classrooms become Future Ready will have an opportunity to share with Educators a host of technology tools and solutions that makes teaching exciting and learning fun.

Let's come TOGETHER this Summer to get ready to kickoff an exciting new School year filled with fresh ideas and creative solutions!

5-1 hour Grant Funding sessions will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday of the Conference. Here we will help Educators identify funding sources to purchase solutions for their classrooms and schools.

WHY ATTEND?The Delaware Educators’ Technology Boot Camp will not only be an enriching and empowering learning experience for educators, but there are several other benefits to attending as well including:

A Microsoft Surface Pro 3 - 64GB / Intel i3 Tablets will be given to 4 of the �rst 20 Public School teachers that become eligible to participate in an onsite drawing if they register and pay for an Early Bird Extended Boot Camp/Conference Package before the registration deadline.

2-Apple iPad Air 2 Tablets will be donated to �ve (5) local community nonpro�t agencies that have STEM or technology-based after-school programs.

A $500.00 technology grant will be given to 10 charter schools who submit a one-page letter proposal expressing a need and use for the grant. Request for proposal will be sent to each of the charter schools in the state and a panel at the delaware educators’ technology boot camp will be selected to determine grant recipients after review of proposals.
