Profilo Design was created in 1999 by three de-

signers from Turin: Matteo Tampone, Andrea

Righetti and Pierpaolo Barra. The headquarters are

located in Rivoli (Torino). The company works both

on industrial design and integrated communication

solutions, cooperating with italian and foreign firms

throughout different markets. In 2008 Profilo The

designers are associated with ADI, cooperate with

IED and IAAD as teachers, are part of the ADI

Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta Observatory and have

been selected ADI Index 2010 for the project

"Canali Design".Design launched TORNEO, a col-

lection of innovative jet helmets. It is their first inter-

nal project and sums up their design philosophy:

generate amazement due to the object-user inter-

action. The designers are associated with ADI, co-

operate with IED and IAAD as teachers, are part of

the ADI Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta Observatory

and have been selected ADI Index They were jury

panel members for the contest "Oasi in giardino"

held by Pircher, jury panel coordinators for the con-

test "Share a new vision" held by Panini SpA and

prize winners for the best merchandising design at

the contest held by the "Turin 2008 World Design

Capital" Committee. The projects by Profilo Design

have been quoted in many design magazines like-

wise TORNEO helmets have gained great visibility

in motorcycle and fashion magazines.Profilo De-

sign attended to Fuorisalone in Milano, to the road-

show "Piemonte Torino Design", to the Biennale

Internationale du Design in Saint Etienne, to De-

signersblock - 100% Design in London.

Profilo Design

Born in Didumoteixo and studied -Industrial Prod-

uct Design in Athens AKTO, validated from Middle-

sex University of London, graduated Valedictorian

with honors In 2010 he moved in USA and Savan-

nah College Of Art And Design (SCAD)to fil his

knowledge with Master of Fine Arts in Industrial

Design From then and on he lives in Savannah

and designs his own collections with outstanding

performance He is a new comer Greek Designer

Manolis Giannouladis is a multidisciplinary de-

signer based in Thessaloniki Greece. He studied

interior design at Thessaloniki and furniture design

at the Buckingham shire new university, England

and graduated MA , December 2004 His career

started in Thessaloniki as a freelance designer.

Later on he worked for major contract furniture

companies such as Almeco, Mexil etc. In 2007 he

co founded the design team 2creative in Thessa-

loniki, Greece. As part of the 2 creative and as indi-

vidual has participated in several design contests

and workshops in Greece and abroad Today 2 cre-

ative aim is to work with a number of Greek furni-

ture companies trying to produce furniture

emphasise in quality and in innovative design.

Manolis Giannouladis

Born in Athens in 1965, Sotiris Lazou studied inte-

rior design in Athens Technological Educational In-

stitutions (TEI) and Industrial Design in Milan at the

famous DOMUS ACADEMY 1991(scholarship)

under Professors Andrea Branzi, Isao Hosoe, Ezio

Manzini.etc. Since 1992, he has been designing

furniture and decorative objects for Greek compa-

nies. He was a founding member of the Athens

Secretariat of Industrial Design and has partici-

pated in many industrial design exhibitions. He has

tutored at the Technological Educational Institu-

tions (TEI's) of Athens and is also a professor at

the Athens School of Applied Arts A.K.T.O. Sotiris'

design creations have received international recog-

nition. His "cosmos table" won the 2008 Good De-

sign Award. (The World's Most Prestigious Global

Awards for New Product Design and Graphics)

ORGANIZATION: the Chicago Athenaeum: Mu-

seum of Architecture and Design and The Euro-

pean Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban

Studies. Sotiris Lazou is a member of the Greek

design group Schemata which was founded in

2003. Schemata' designers are united in strong

philosophical roots and in a desire to create con-

temporary, functional and aesthetic products which

break free from traditional Greek design in quite a

spectacular way.
