Careless : accident of transportation, fire, fall down of buildings, etc. Doing on purpose : bombing by terrorist explotion war weapon, disturbance, etc.
Why and what are the importances that the mass disaster victims should be identified?
Findings the person’s identity is related to human right. For legal procedures on criminal investigation aspects For civil legal acpects (insurances, pension, inharitance, marital, etc)
Disaster victim management
1) Communication and coordination- At polrest/ polsect/ near accident scene- Centerpost of communication and serve, 24 hours- To guide and direct the hold of SAR- To answer and give information, translate “two way traffic” to : families / foreign
families) mass media, officials- Connect to sources of ante mortem data, interpol, embassy,etc.

IN THE POST MORTEM DATA UNUT :The data obtained from examination by forensic pathologist, doctor, forensic odontologist, dentist, anthropologist, dactyloscopist, photographer, molecular biologist, etc.The task activity Receive and registry corpses/ personal body remains, their proprietary and
personal effects. Numbering and grouping based on: sex, age, nation /race, conditions, of the
corpse, etc Make photography Make dactyloscopy/ dermatogliphy make rontgent photo (if nesessary) Record the medical and dental data (odontogram) Do otoption and mouth otoption Coordination with the comparing data unit.
IN THE ANTE MORTEM DATA UNIT : Collecting ante mortem data : photo, finger print, medical and dental record,
rontgent X ray, property, document, identity card, etc from families, hospital, doctor and dentist, instance, police, etc.
Filling the data to DVI form Grouping the data based on : sex, age, racee or nation, etc. Sending the data to comparing data unit
IN THE COMPARING DATA UNIT Comparing the post and ante mortem data Reconciliation board meeting Sending the result of comparing data to center of DVI Collecting addition data to which not yet recognized body
