FADE IN:

EXT. STREET - NIGHT

There is a street light flickering on and off. BILL DAVIDSON,

20, best friend type, looks down at his watch. One oclock inthe morning. A group of PARTYGOERS straggle past him.

Bill leans against his car and checks his cell phone. Thedisplay reads: NO MESSAGES. A thunderstorm begins and Billlights a cigarette. He dials. A WOMANS VOICE MAIL picks up.

KAREN (V.O.)Hi, this is Karen, Im somewherebeing fabulous. Leave a message.

Bill gets a look of frustration.

BILL(into phone)Hi, its me...headed to a party

with the group. Meet up with us ifyoure around.

(beat)Sorry about earlier. You knowyoure my girl.

The rain begins to fall. Bill hangs up and drops the cellphone in the street.

Up the road, a Subaru eases out of park. The drivers waitingto hit the gas pedal. Bill doesnt see the car.

Bill takes two steps forward. He bends over to pick up thecell phone. He checks his cell phone for damage.

The Subaru accelerates and runs his car into Bill, kniockinghim around. Bill falls to the floor barely alive. The carbolts off. EVERYONE comes running.

The NEIGHBORS exit their homes to see what happened.

An ambulance arrives and parks. Six police cars are followingthe ambulance. A POLICE OFFICER sets up road flares.

EMTs load Bill on a gurney into the ambulance. Hes sliced upand bleeding mostly from his head. He hears a sound andthrashes around.

EXT. DREAM LAND - NIGHT

Another dimension. Shades of gray and blue surround theatmosphere. Some smoke lingers through out the room. Imagesof happy life and brutal deaths are flying over head and bytheir sides.

CORY BACKUS, 20, quiet and sneaky, stands off to the sidefacing away from GORDON, 37. Gordon wears bizarre shaman-likegarb and has an air of mystery like Morpheus in The Matrix.

The image of Bill bleeding from his head floats by and Coryfollows it. The vision changes to one of Cory laughingintimately and holding a young woman well known as KAREN.

Gordon burns incense.

GORDONCome to the flame, Cory.

Cory still stares after the image of Bill. The incense burnsbrighter and the smoke changes to eerie colors. A cloud ofincense surrounds Cory and he turns back to Gordon.

GORDON (CONTD)This is your final lesson. Payclose attention.

CORYI wont let you down. I even cameup with other ways this can beused. For good though.

An image of a violent death flies over Corys head.

GORDONRemember, this gift is meant forpurposes of good faith.

Cory reaches out his hands into the glowing smoke.

GORDON (CONTD)Just use it when its necessary.

Cory stands there with a weird grin.

INT. HOSPITAL ROOM -- Day

SUPER: Six Months Later

Get-well cards and flowers litter a small table. Bill, stillthe worse for wear in his hospital gown, jerks awake as iffrom a nightmare and falls out of bed!

He yelps and struggles to pull himself up on the bed. Thecall button is within reach, but Bill doesnt push it. Billgrunts as he manages to sit on the edge of the bed.

An ELDERLY MAN peers out behind a curtain and glares at Bill.

ELDERLY MANKeep it down!

INT. RESTAURANT - DAY

Its pouring rain outside the window. Karen, 20, a gal withboth beauty and brains, sits in a booth reading a fashion

magazine. The laid-back type young man at her side, Toby, 20,drinks a soda and reads a car magazine. They look like whatthey are: brother and sister.

TOBY

Now see, they pretend they knowabout the engine. Like theyre thepeople who invented the car.

KARENYou going to keep your head buriedin that all day?

TOBYWhat would you do if you had aflat. Flash your leg?

KARENThats why I keep you around.

Toby looks out the window at a hospital front.

KAREN (CONTD)Now heres a question for you...

TOBYYou do know what today is?

KARENHoly shit, of course I know.

Toby looks at her.

TOBYHes calling you, right?

KARENI just saw him last week.

INT. BILLS HOSPITAL ROOM - CONTINUOUS - DAY

An open suitcase lies on the hospital bed. Bill pulls up hisjeans in the bathroom. He winces in pain, then does a doubletake. A STRANGE TATTOO appears on his abdomen. Bill blinks.

His mother GWENEVERE, 45, patiently waits outside the door.

GWENEVEREItll be good to have you home.

Inside the bathroom, Bill washes his face.

BILLI cant wait. Need to skag a stog.

GWENEVEREYou and that smoking.

BILLWhy is my smoking such an issue? Idont bitch at you for drinking.

Gwenevere reacts...

GWENEVEREYou should quit.

Bill looks at the tattoo and shuts his eyes.

BILLGo away.

GWENEVEREExcuse me?

Bill opens his eyes. The tattoo is gone.

BILLSorry.

He pulls on his shirt and comes out.

GWENEVERESo, ya going to put them down?

BILLIll think about it.

DR. REECE(36), female and trusting type, enters the room.DR. REECE

So you ready to go home Bill?

BILLYou know, like yesterday.

Dr. Reece looks through the chart.

DR. REECEWell, everything looks normal. Howhas your sleeping been?

BILLFine.

DR. REECEAny more dreams?

BILLThe pains been driving me crazy.

Dr. Reece walks over to his monitor to check his vitals.

DR. REECEJust follow up with the treatmentand Ill see you in my office intwo weeks.

Dr. Reece shakes Bills hand and exits.

EXT. CORYS HOUSE - DAY

Cory is fixing his car in the driveway of a McMansion. SHANE,20, headstrong, Irish drinker type, grabs the wrench from Cory with one hand and cracks open a beer with the other.

SHANEGotta get your darlin ride set up.The good times are coming back.

Cory grabs the wrench back.

CORYYoud think Bill was being paroledor something.

Shane finishes his beer and cracks open another.

CORY

Dont ever work on my car whenyoure drinking. You know motorsand alcohol dont mix.

INT. LAURAS KITCHEN - DAY

LAURA, 20, model type, knocks things over as she packs abasket with goodies. Cheery Welcome Home letters decoratethe basket. A Shih Tzu romps through the house. A young,athletic man, MIKE, 20, Lauras boyfriend, African-American,slightly resembles Barack Obama, watches her as he works out.

MIKETake a chill pill, Laura.

LAURA Easy for you to say, Mr. Weights.

MIKEBills going to need a strongshoulder. Heard he was in a full-body cast.

LAURA Not true. Hes getting by and all.

MIKEDoes he remember anything yet?

Laura shrugs and festoons the basket with streamers.

MIKE (CONTD)Itll come to him. Just give itsome time.

LAURA I just hope that they catch whoeverhit him.

MIKEYeah, me too.

(beat)But I dont know.

LAURA Why the doubt?

Almost a year, all the evidence andthey still didnt find that driver.Thats the police for ya.

LAURA Just remember, thats not the kindof talk he wants to hear at his

welcome-home party.

EXT. BILLS HOUSE - NEXT DAY

Its an older neighborhood, gentrified houses.

Toby and Shane pull up to Bills house. Gwenevere, in abusiness suit, leaves the house and walks over as Toby andShane get out of their car. They smile. Gwenevere hugs them.

GWENEVEREGo right in, guys. Make yourselvesat home. Not too much.

INT. BILLS BEDROOM -- DAY

Bill jerks awake and staggers out of bed. Seton HallUniversity flags and college textbooks as well as a computerdecorate his room.

NIGHTMARE VOICEBill...Bill.

Bill whirls around, startled. He flings open his bedroom doorand bolts out of the room.

INT. BILLS LIVING ROOM

In the elegant living room, Toby and Shane glance at a wetbar. Shane picks up a bottle of whiskey.

SHANE

Think his darlin mom would noticeif we helped ourselves?

Toby cuffs him.

Bill staggers into the living room and sees his friends. Helights a cigarette and plops into a chair. He yelps in pain.

Toby and Shane whirl around.

BILLHey guys. When did you get here?

TOBYLike an hour ago.

SHANEHow ya feeling, man?

BILLOkay when Im not breaking my ass.

SHANESo the therapy was pretty intense?

BILLLike a knife jamming into my back.My whole world was that physicaltherapist torturer and the doctors.

TOBYSorry I didnt get a chance to comeby and visit.

Bill breathes heavily from the pain.

BILLI wasnt up for much company.

SHANEHow was the sponge bath?

BILLIt was good.

TOBYSee? It wasnt a total lost cause.

Hows Karen?

Toby reacts. Shane covers for him.

SHANESo Bill, they say you got some

memory problems?

BILLI do from the accident.

SHANEYou remember my name, huh?

Bill gives him a look. Shane pours Bill a whiskey from the wet bar.

TOBYAlcohol and pain meds probablydont mix.

BILLSounds like a perfect combo. Keep

my head fuzzy.

Bill stares at a group photo of him and his friends. Theyreall smiling. Cory and Karen have their arms around Bill. Thenext moment, everyone in the photo but the trio, Bill, Coryand Karen, vanishes!

Bill holds his head and moans.

SHANEGive it some time. Youll remember.

TOBYYea, and when we find out, wellkeep the bed warm for him. You know

what I mean?

Bill looks at the photo again. This time, its just Karen andCory, holding each other.

Bill groans and accidentally burns himself with thecigarette. He grunts in pain.

SHANEFucking A, Bill!

As Shane and Toby take the cigarette from Bill...BILL

Maybe I better put these down.

EXT. THE WHITE HILLS - LATE AFTERNOON

Starting off the night, Laura and Karen sit on a rock. Theyshare a bottle of beer and a bag of weed. Laura holds andlights a rolled joint, then takes a hit.

LAURA

So you go by and see Bill yet?

Laura passes the joint to Karen, who takes the joint andtokes, not once but twice.

KARENNot yet. You?

LAURA No, but dont you think you shouldsee him?

KARENI dont think so.

LAURA Why not?

(re: joint)Dont hog that.

Karen reluctantly passes the joint back.

KARENIt just wouldnt feel right.

LAURA I know he misses you.

KARENGimme the bud.

Laura passes it back. Karen takes a deep toke.

KAREN (CONTD)Im just at a loss for a solution.

Laura looks at Karen in disbelief.

LAURA Thats something you shouldvethought about.

KARENThe Cosmo article I read said youshould wait until someonesrecovered to...to make confessions.

LAURA Youre gonna have to tell him soon.

KARENNo shit, Miss Priss, but how do youtell someone that you slept withhis best friend?

The finishes the beer and steps a few feet to a trashreceptacle. She screams. Laura runs over. They both stare athalf a dozen mutilated carcasses of rabbits, cats and dogs.

INT. POOL HALL - LATE NIGHT

Mike and Cory shoot pool. Mikes taking a shot.

MIKEYou up for Bills tomorrow night?

Mike misses. He backs away from the table. Cory positionshimself. He takes a shot. The ball drops in the pocket.

CORYThink I have other plans.

MIKELike what?

Cory walks over to Mike. Mike leans on the table and drinkshis soda.

CORYWhy do you figure everythingrevolves around Bill?

He takes a step back.

MIKEWhats your problem?

Cory takes a step toward Mike again.

Mike walks over to where his jacket is.

He picks up his jacket and waves goodbye.

Cory continues to shoot pool.

INT. SHANES HOUSE - LATE NIGHT

Shane and Cory are in Shanes messy room smoking a bong. Wehear them coughing up a storm.

CORYYo, slow the boggart roll.

SHANERelax, dude. Didnt even get anyyet.

CORYYou seem nervous. How ya beensleeping lately?

Shane takes a hit from the bong.

SHANEWhy? You gonna tuck me in at night?Read me a story?

CORYIm serious. You been sleeping?

Shane puts the bong down.

Cory takes a deep hit off the bong and goes into a trancelikestate. He closes his eyes and smiles.

INT. BILLS BEDROOM -- NIGHT

Bill jolts awake and searches his room until he finds a casefull of CAO cigars. He opens it. Empty.

INT. BILLS HOUSE - CONTINUOUS -- NIGHT

Bill walks through the house like a zombie. Restless. He wanders into the living room where Gwenevere sits drinking a

Scotch and reviewing business papers in front of the TV. Shenotices Bill but he doesnt see her. He looks at the photo ofthe friends and holds his head in sudden pain.

BILLWake up, Bill!

INT. SHANES ROOM

Cory opens his eyes. Shane watches him with growing concern.

CORYTomorrow night we all hang at myhouse. My parents are going away.

SHANEWhat? You are shitting me. You,throw a party?

CORYGot to cheer Bill up, right?

SHANEYeah, especially since his heads ablank with no answers.

CORYI got something cool to show youguys. Youll see on Friday.

EXT. FREEPORT DOCKS - EARLY MORNING

The friends, except Cory, are all together. Laura and Karenstill look traumatized but attempt to be cheerful.

SHANEBunny killers, thats sick.

Karen turns away and mimes vomiting.

LAURA So now were all togetha again.

SHANEParty time. At Corys house.

MIKEUnbelievable. That asshole---

SHANEHe had a change of heart.

TOBYBill needs it.

Karen fidgets, clearly uncomfortable.

Mike picks up his stuff.

Mike pauses and looks at Karen.

Mike storms out.

SAM MUSCOVITZ, 44, business suit, psychiatrist, holds a dream book with one hand and shakes Gweneveres hand with theother. Bill, clean but tired-eyed, walks in as he leans onhis cane. Gwenevere exchanges looks with Bill and Sam and

walks out.Bill watches Sam warily. Sam opens a pack of cigarettes.

SAMIll just take this outside, then

we can get started.

Bill, surprised, grabs an ashtray.

SAM (CONTD)Im Sam. You must be Bill?

Bill shakes Sams hand. Sam offers him a cigarette. Billshakes his head.

BILLIts good to meet you.

SAMSo how are you holding up?

Bill tries to get comfortable as Sam smokes a cigarette.

BILLThe best I could. I guess. Have ahard time sleeping.

SAMThe dreams?

BILLWhy does everyone want to knowabout my dreams? Theyre fine.

SAMWhat kind of things are you seeing

when you sleep?

BILLIts hard to explain.

SAMIve got time.

Bills phone rings. Bill gets a hopeful look. He runs andanswers the phone.

His hand trembles violently and he drops the phone.

Bill paces the room.

SAMWho was that?

BILLMy own girlfriend hasnt even beenhere yet.

Sam takes knitting from his briefcase and works on a scarf.

SAMWhats her name?

BILLKaren. I dont even know if shes

my girlfriend anymore.

SAMWhat would make you say that?

BILLI think shes hooked up with one of

my friends. Who hasnt bothered tocome by.

SAMThe friend on the phone? You needto talk it out.

BILLBang my girl?! I have to forgivethat?! I dont think so!

Bill stares at the needles. He pulls one out and presses thepoint against his arm. Sam takes the knitting away.

Bill and Mike pull up to Corys house. Bill loses his balanceas he gets out of the car. Mike rushes to Bills side of thecar to help.

MIKEHey Bill, you alright?

BILLFeeling like Im all that and a bagof chips. Ruffled or Barbecued.

Mike and Bill laugh.

BILL (CONTD)Seriously, Im cool. Im only beingthe crippled one.

Mike looks uncomfortable.

BILL (CONTD)I know man. Ill tell you thisthough, I catch the stunatza whohit me, his ass is mine.

MIKEYou got something planned if thatshould be an option?

BILLA room, five minutes, and mybaseball bat.

MIKEYou can save that for Cory too.

BILLHavent got the energy tonight.

Mike does a double take.

MIKEWho...who told you?

Bill reacts...he looks crazy.

MIKE (CONTD)Karen...theyre long over. Just becool tonight. Just enjoy.

INT. CORYS HOUSE - MAIN ROOM - NIGHT

Corys house screams wealth. Karen, Laura, Toby, and Shanedrink and have a good time. Laura fixes a welcome homebanner on the wall.

Cory stands in a distant corner arranging some weirdparaphernalia we cant see.

Bill, leaning on Mike and the cane, strolls in.

BILLLook at this. Bunch of lazy sheps.Could not even come see me.

Everyone reacts. Laura rushes to Bill and gives him hisbasket. She hugs him until he wheezes and gasps.

LAURA

Hey you. Sorry I didnt come by.

Bill tries his best to hug back.

BILLIts cool. Just get me a soda.

TOBYSoda? Holy shneets. You sure theyshouldve let you out?

Toby hands Bill a soda. He takes it and flops down. Far awayfrom Karen. She comes over and sits by him. She hugs andkisses him. He halfheartedly hugs back.

Karen glances up as Cory exits the room. Laura hugs Billagain with a meaningful look at Karen.

LAURA You forgive me, right?

BILLSure. You my girl slice.

Karen turns away in a huff.

MIKESo whered Cory go? What kind ofdramas he brewing?

SHANESomething out there. Hes beensetting up for this all day.

Karen takes a drink.

MIKE (CONTD)I guess he has something brewing.Cant wait to see this shit he has.The fucks up with the dark drapes?

Bill turns and looks at Karen.

KARENAs ever. How are you feeling?

KARENSure. Lets first see this thingCory wants us all to do.

Bill and the other friends continue enjoying their night.

INT. CORYS HOUSE - MAIN ROOM - LATER

Everyone is enjoying the night. Laughing and partying as ifit was a reunion. Mike and Toby are talking amongstthemselves. Trying to avoid being heard. Toby looks aroundand leans into Mike.

Toby whacks Mike on the head. Cory enters the room.

Bill tries to get up from his chair but pain stops him. Mikeruns and helps Bill up. Bill shakes all over from the pain.Everyone looks at him, concerned.

LAURA Maybe we should call this off.

BILLPain didnt skeeve me out this badin the O.R. God!

MIKEI got Bill. Well be in a little.

CORYTake your time.

He smiles in a strange way.

BILLI wish I knew who did this to me...

CORYI can help with that.

Everyone reacts -- this is crazy. Bill and Mike look at Cory,startled. Bill shuts his eyes-hes in agony.

INT. CORYS HOUSE - OTHER ROOM - NIGHT - MOMENTS LATER

The friends are standing in a circle in a room with ancient-looking writing on the walls.

Cory takes a seat in a chair in the center. Books on dream

breakthrough and mind over matter are piled around his chair.A dark book and four dark-colored candles sit on a table infront of Cory.

CORYWhat is the good word, kiddies?

TOBYWhat are you holding, Core?

CORYA book for proper guidance.

TOBYYoure kinda putting everyone onedge. Ya know?

Cory lights each of the candles off each other.

CORYI thought the books and the

writings would give off asophisticated vibe.

BILLAnd what kind of vibe is that?Dude, all these books? The fuckhave you been doing?

CORYResearch on human nature.

He smiles at Mike and Shane, who read the titles of thebooks. They exchange glances with the other friends.

Cory sits on the floor and opens the dark book in front ofhim. He places the candles at each of the four corners of thedark book. The friends all try to act cool.

BILLDo we all have to get naked? Im kind of commando tonight.

CORYThats a little too much info notneeded. This will be good for you,Bill. Everyone sits for this. Andkeeps their clothes on.

Cory points to a spot on the floor across from his chair.Shane sits down.

TOBYWhere do you want me to sit?

CORYYou over here. Karen, you here,next to Mike. Bill, youre there,Shane, youre over there. Laura,youre next to me.

Everyone sits where Shane puts them.

CORY (CONTD)I call this mind over matter. Take

each others hand.

Everyone looks uncertain. Karen locks eyes with Bill. Corycalmly observes them.

KARENI dont think this is a good idea.

LAURA It cant hurt. What do we do now?

Cory takes Lauras hand and holds it. He closes his eyes.

CORYYou just place your left hand under

my right hand.

Cory turns his head facing Shane.

CORY (CONTD)I will place my left hand underyour right hand Shane. And so on.Balance is important.

SHANEGood thing Karen is on my otherside.

TOBYYou sure this is a balance? Itseems pretty unstable to me.

CORYEveryone close their eyes.

CORY (CONTD)Now just listen. Hear the sound of

my voice.

SHANEI need a beer with my silence.

Cory goes into some funky trance.

CORY

Just hear the sound of my voice.

Everyone falls into the trance.

EXT. OTHER DIMENSION - NIGHT - MOMENTS LATER

The friends wander around in the grey and blue smoke, in a world of insanity and chaos.

Images of death appear, floating around the room. Suddenly, more images of dead bodies appear. The group freaks out as

they see strangers being murdered.

Bill walks through the house.

A DARK-CLAD STRANGER in a black hood grabs Karen and placeselectrodes on her body. The Dark-Clad Stranger pressesbuttons on a remote control and Karen gets electrocuted.

Bill tackles the Dark-Clad Stranger, who throws him off.

Bill, still in pain, staggers back. The Dark-Clad Strangerpulls his black hood off...the Stranger looks like Bill.

Bill rushes to Karen. A new Karen-body now lies on the grounddead with a baby trying to breastfeed! Bill freezes at thesight, then steels himself and goes to the baby. He picks itup. It disappears. The second Karen-body vanishes.

Bill rushes through Corys house. He sees a vision of Tobybeing sliced in half by a speedboat!

Bill reaches out to Shane, who hangs by a noose from a beam in the house.

Mike gets impaled by a pool cue wielded by a drunken Bill.Laura struggles as she is being slowly strangled in the bath,then sliced up by a Bill-clone.

The water overflows the tub and the real Bill runs to Laura.The water quickly becomes too deep and Bill loses hisfooting. He falls into the water and goes under.

Hands pull Bill out of the water...he resurfaces. He sees ahazy image of Gordon.

Bill resurfaces. Now he sees Cory being disemboweled...by aBill-clone. The dead Cory disappears. Another Cory arrangesthe five friends around the drowning Bill. This Cory-duplicate kills all the friends!

Bill gasps and goes under as Cory watches him drown.

The friends, who now look normal, pull Bill to his feet. Theyall catch sight of Gordon before he fades out.

Shanes car stops dead on the old bridge.

Shane gets out of the car. Hes baffled. He pops open thehood and looks at the battery. He goes to the trunk, pops itopen, and gets out jumper cables.

EXT. FREEPORT DOCKS -- DAY

Bill strolls along the docks, away from Mike and Toby.Suddenly, he stops dead.

EXT. OLD BRIDGE/OTHER DIMENSION -- DAY

Bill, startled, looks around. Hes right behind Shane. Shanegives his car battery a jolt with the jumper cables.

Bill looks down and discovers a tow rope in his hands. As ifagainst his will, he throws the rope around Shane and knotsit around Shanes neck.


Shane reacts in horror as a DARK WINGED SHAPE smashes intohis car and then loops the tow rope around Shanes neck.

EXT. OLD BRIDGE/OTHER DIMENSION -- DAY

Shane makes a strangled sound. Bill grabs him with impossiblestrength and forces him to the side of the bridge, thenthrows him over and anchors the rope on the bridge railing.Bill watches Shane dangle until he dies.

The illusion of a GHOST TODDLER wanders the bridge. The Billin the vision grabs for the toddler, who darts away, falls,and tumbles off the bridge!

EXT. FREEPORT DOCKS -- DAY

Bill hits the ground to his knees and hands. Hes holding hishead with his left hand. The pain is like a knife stabbinginto his brain. Hes holding his stomach.


Shane desperately tries to start the car. Suddenly, it roarsto life. The hood smacks shut as Shane pulls away.

Shane looks up --- Cory and Gordon are in the drivers andpassengers seat of the car!

Shane throws down the jumper cables and runs like hell.

The car careens along the bridge. The front end wedges in therailing. The car dies.

Shane looks at the car. Cory and Gordon are gone.

Shane checks the motor. Dead. He gets a tow rope out of thetrunk and ties it to the fender, then ties it to a bridgestrut. Shane retrieves the jumper cables.

Cautiously, Shane pries the hood open and gives the car ajump again.

The car roars to life again and backs up. Shane gets caughtin the rope as it loops itself around his leg! The car runsback and forth over Shane, pounding him to a pulp.

EXT. TOBY AND KARENS HOUSE - NIGHT

Karen unloads her books from her car.

Tobys car parks beside Karens.

Toby helps Bill out of the car.

Sheaimlessly walks down a path and comes to a wooden lamp post.Cory and Laura is carved in the post in a heart shapedcarving. Laura turns away. She continues walking.

Laura sees the Dark-Clad Stranger from the original groupvision murder Bill and the rest of her friends.

Cory appears in front of her.

Mike and Laura are at the towers hanging out smoking a joint.Hes fumbling with the radio.

Karen stands at the entrance to a deserted run-downelementary school.

Karen enters a destroyed classroom. A section of exposed wiring gleams.

Karen doesnt notice the wiring. She comes to an old woodenboard. Karen is carved in the wood.

Cory emerges from a dark corner. Karen chases the Stranger.Cory puts his arms around her and pulls her back. Shetrembles - she recognizes him and pulls away.

Cory takes her hand and dances with her, swinging her aroundthe room like two children. CHILDRENS GHOSTLY VOICES giggleand scream.

KARENWhere is this...Im gettingdizzy...stop!

She closes her eyes. She opens them...she sees Bills face!

Bill releases her and she staggers back into the faulty wiring. Thousands of volts of electricity jolt through her

body! The radiation is so intense that she loses control ofher body, convulses, passes out and dies. As she falls shesmacks her head on the wall.

INT. KARENS BEDROOM -- NIGHT

Karen jolts awake and immediately holds her forehead. A lumphas formed! She screams as she sees welts on her wrists. Herbedroom door opens and Toby bursts in.

Karen touches the gash on her wrist and looks at Toby, whosin shock.

KARENDont just stand there!

She points to another door. Toby runs through that door andreturns in double time with gauze, bandages and hydrogenperoxide. He fixes Karens wound. He touches the egg on herhead and she winces.

TOBYIll get some ice.

Bill, alone, rests and watches TV as he drinks a soda.Suddenly he sees Karen on the TV screen trying to fix thecircuit box. A moment later, a figure comes up behind Karenand grabs her.

Bill reacts and runs as if hes going to save Karen.

INT. ELECTRICAL ROOM - DAY

The figure holds massive fistfuls of broken wires and pressesthem against Karens body. She screams in agony.

Karens body is shaking like shes having an embolism attackfrom being electrocuted by the electric current flowing. Theshock is so bad, there is blood flowing out of her ears,eyes, nose, mouth, and the top of her head.

KARENBill...

Over Karens shoulder we see Bills face appear, and over theopposite shoulder Corys face appears.

Gordon emerges from the darkness. His face is conflicted, buthe takes out a book similar to Corys and opens it.

GORDONMay the light of all love andhealing come and banish this darkpower. May it save this soul.

Karen turns around in Gordons direction and struggles to getto him as she is electrocuted. Bill and Corys faces vanish.

Gordon gets pushed backwards by an unseen force and the bookfalls to the floor. Gordon struggles against the force, butits too powerful.

Gordon can only watch in horror as Karen is executed byelectric shock, exactly like in her dream.

INT. BILLS HOUSE - DAY

Toby shakes Bill awake. Bill lies on the floor as he groansand holds his head. Toby slaps him. Bill fights him.

The lights flicker on and off, and every electronic thing inthe police station goes dead.

Gordon appears. Cory and Bill both see and recognize him.Gordon gestures at the dark book. It levitates off the desk!

Bill immediately lunges for the dark book, grabs it and boltsout of the police station.

The Police Sergeant hurriedly gets on the walkie-talkie andphone. Gordon vanishes. No one sees him except Cory.

Its a very feminine room with education books like Karens.Laura and Mike are asleep in bed.

INT. DREAM LAND - NIGHTMike wakes up shackled to a wall. The name Mike is smearedin blood on the opposite wall. Rock music plays.

The Dark-Clad Stranger holds Mikes mouth open. Mike screamsbloody murder.

The Dark-Clad Stranger knocks Mike nearly senseless. As Mikegathers strength, the Dark-Clad Stranger feeds him a ball ofnasty poisonous-looking stuff and tapes his mouth shut.

The Dark-Clad Stranger assaults Mike with a pool cue, forcing

Mike to swallow the nasty stuff as he struggles.

Within minutes, Mike convulses and becomes ill. Horribly ill.He dies a grisly death.

EXT. TOBYS BOAT - DAYJoel is approaching the wave at top speed.

Joel swerves the boat. Toby falls onto the back deck of the

boat. Cory appears and grabs him. Cory pushes him toward therailing. Gordon starts toward them but disappears!

Silence. Joel kills the engine and searches the boat, lookingfor Toby.

Bill and Gordon lock eyes.

GORDON

You might try going back to whereit all started.

GORDONTake him to a safe haven, a placeof memories of trust, and regainthe balance.

The Other Dimension starts to fade. Gordon gets pulled awayas if by an invisible force. Bill grabs for him. Gordon yells

as hes dragged through the tent.

BILLSTOP!

The unseen force stops and Gordon stays where he is. He looksat Bill in wonder. Then, Gordon is pulled backward again. Heflies out of the tent!

Mike begins to choke in earnest. His lips and face turn blue.He vomits and becomes violently ill. Bill and Laura grab hisarms and do the Heimlich.

BILL (CONTD)Here we go. Just follow my voice.Just listen.

LAURA We...we cant go back to my house,the police are there!

BILLWe have to get Mike some help. Justfollow my voice...

INT. BILLS LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

Bill and Laura awaken in Bills living room. They scramble totheir feet.

Charcoal. Like they do for dogs.Ipecac. Something.

Laura rushes out. Moments later, she rushes back, hysterical.She hands Bill some ipecac. Bill administers it to Mike.

BILL (CONTD)Let the light of love and healinghelp you.

Mike drinks the ipecac and spits it out. Bill points to aphone on the table.

BILL (CONTD)Call 911.

LAURA Use your mojo, for Gods sake!

Bill lays hands on Mike. Laura searches the room and findscandles. She lights them.

LAURA Wing it!

Mike gasps, and his living flesh becomes necrotic, dead,disgusting. His stomach bursts and spews innards all over!Mike breathes his last.

Bill looks horrified. Laura collapses in Bills arms andfinally breaks down sobbing. Full-blown wailing and grieving.
